Yeah I just saw those a few minutes ago as well, and am wondering if someone stole them. There was a problem at my LHS that someone stole numerous hockey items and sold them on Ebay. If not sounds like a good deal.

I talked to the guy selling them, unfortunately he doesn't have anymore :(. He was really cool though, he said they were from a Bauer rep and they were demo models or something like that which is why they were so cheap.

The XXX's feel great. What's the outlook on how long the palms will last, though? They feel a little thin and they include a second set of palms. Is this for marketing or are the palms expected to not last that long?

Still very nice, but not quite as soft, are the XX's a better deal for durability and price or would you go with the XXX?

I tried a pair on at my LHS the other day, they are the most comfortable and most flexible gloves i've ever tried on (and I own a pair of Eagle's!). There was a flex point in the gloves at every single joint in my fingers and hand, I really want a pair but I don't want to spent ~$150 on them, too bad HockeyGiant doesn't have their 20% off discount code anymore.

Yeah, actually I like the feel of the XXX's over my Eagles, and before I vowed I wouldnt wear anything else, but this glove is just wayyyyyyy too comfortable, sure I don't wanna spend 130 USD on em, but hell I will buy em cuz I like em that much

I found they chipped and cracked way to easy....we had one for a while, and it looked a mess after not too may games of non contact inline....just from sticks and glass contact.

The shell wasn't affected. As you know, the Carbster has an inner liner that is attached to the foam with three platic buttons. The rear two platic parts that are secured IN the foam ripped out when I fell backwards hitting the ice head first. Both plastic parts were simply shredded. I am damn lucky I've worn a Carbster, my coach and teammates were 100% sure I had a bad concussion, but I was back on the bench after 5 minutes.

yup. just got it today. says it expires dec. 31, 2004.

Anyone see the new colorways for the XX and XV on the bauer site? They've added quite a few colors to the line. The silve/blue and silver/black are especially blingy...

I noticed that the cuff of the XXX is also slightly different from the XX/XV. It's not adjustable (which is fine), and it's much wider a cuff (which I didn't care much for). It seemed to be a bit more open for a whack where the meaty part of your palm and wrist meet.
