i'm sure that "sticks for ron" auction was kind of a deal maybe on a less trustworthy message board, that was taken to ebay so that there would be somewhat of a "real" transaction in case either party was to be screwed around with. why he picked such an odd name for his auction? im not sure, probably so that other people would not be able to find it and then be able to bid on it etc etc, but still funny nonetheless

Yeah, it just seems like an easy way to screw yourself over. If you're listing a bunch at a time which they seem to be doing, it just seems like some of the product would go for way under the price it's worth. Retail price anyhow.
