Looking for new shoulder pads

Right now I have a set of Easton Mako M3, but I'm not a big fan of the front closure system. It always opens up whenever I take a long deep stride. I was looking at the Bauer Supreme One.6 shoulder pads, but I'm not able to try on a set in person, so I don't know what the protection is like. The Makos seem to have good chest protection which I like, so I would like the Supremes to have the same level of protection, if not more. Anybody have any experience with these?

I chosed between The Supreme one.6 and Vapor x80 last season when i needed new shoulder pads.

The chest protector on the one.6 pads is quite solid actually, and seems a little bit thicker than the vapor dito.

Should be solid enough to block slapshots with your chest without to much pain..

Would have gone with the one.6 pads but the Vapors fitted my shoulders better.

The supreme pads shifted quite a bit just by liftning my arms and rode up on top of the shoulders leaving my bicep/tricep unprotected.

Depends on your choice of fit - Supreme will definitely be more snug than the Makos. The chest protection is solid on both the Supreme and Vapors.

If you can stiff the extra money, and want something that'll last a while, might I suggest either the Easton EQ Pro Shoulder Pads or the Supreme One.8 pads. Both are on clearance and offer a great deal of protection.

Also, depending on what size pad you require, there are probably some great deals around your ~40-49 USD price range.

These are great shoulder pads. I switched to the Warrior Dynasty AXLT from NikeBauer XXVs a handful of games ago & I love them. They seem much more mobile & a touch lower profile than the XXVs, the 2-timer closure system allows for a better feeling fit (I like them snug), & I scored my first ever hat trick while wearing them. I bought them on clearance for a few more bucks than they are on sale for now, but so far they have been a great pick up.

I've been experimenting for years with shoulder pads. Used 5030's for a while but needed a little more protection.

The Easton Synergy 20s are the closest thing i've found with the low profile but more protection. Been using them for a few months and love them.
