Hespeler Nemesis Shafts.

Recommended Posts

Hi msh'ers

I recently bought 2 shafts for roller hockey, a nemesis pyro and a nemesis flash. the pyro is a 260 and the flash is a 300. but the shafts both say smyth in the name bar. i was reading in another topic that innovative makes hespeler shafts. so here are my questions.

Are these shafts manufactured by inno?

Why would the shaft say Smyth on it?

Thanks,

The shaft says 'Smyth' on it, because it was probably leftover stock from the 1 piece sticks that were never used and then when the Forzani Group (SprtChek, Sprt Mart, etc.) bought up the stock the shafts were probably included. This is similar to the black T-Flex shafts (supposedly painted Synergy shafts) that Sport Chek sold a few years ago.

Major thread ressurection after searching. I loved these shafts, anyone know where they can still be found or anything that's comparable?

Somehow I think Alpha Nemesis and Hespeler Nemesis were the same, I remember seeing the same paint job and patterns on the shafts.

Nemesis was Inno. alpha came out a year later and was made in china.

Thanks. So assuming Inno --> Warrior, should I be looking at a Warrior stick if I want something that had the same feel as that old Nemesis? I've used Z-Bubbles and something about them just don't seem to match how well that old Nemesis handled.

Well Warrior is Inno, but that doesn't mean their shafts would be comparable compared to your Nemesis. It may have been Inno-made to Hespeler's specs and not Inno's and not just an Inno shaft with someone else's paint.

for all those interested....the ALPHA will be rising from the ashes... details to follow.

Hopefully in a more faithful version than the reborn Response+ or Adrenaline.

Who owns Hespeler now? I thought they went defunct. On the previous page it says the Forzani group bought up the old stash to be sold in their stores. Are they also still making Hespeler products?
