if youve never used a heel curve before, the drury might be a little tricky to get used to. if you havent been playing long it might not be the best for offense. but of course, as someone im sure will point out - its pp.

i picked the sakic cause i find toes help puck control in tight - for shooting, stickhandling, and passing. i shouldve voted for the recchi though - it seems to be a great all around curve.

I'm gonna have to say that my favourite curves when I play forward are Drury and Sakic. I have a 95 flex Drury clone pattern SL (pro-stock). My back-up is a Synthesis Grip with a Sakic hybrid synthesis blade. I use the SL when I play defense and when my coach needs me on forward against a team where I just float around and look for a one timer. If its a team where I need to grind it out, and need the quick wristers I like the Sakic for this.

just my Personal Preference

TPS Tucker every time.

Used to like the Lidstrom's but play left side as a right hander so not so great for the back hands. The Tucker is a heel similar but not quite as funky.

Passes are very tidy with it.

I did like the Inno Kovalev....because the shooting with it was so easy. But passing was a nightmare.

its weird, most of u went from something to madano...i went madano to sakic

Just for future references its "Modano"

I seem to be pulling away from the Modo. Shooting with it tends to keep my shots lower. it can be adjusted with a higher follow though, but still.....................

i like drury for everything, just cant hit the net from far out though, on snappers. probablly just technique.

dude, the drury is a pitching wedge - dont blame yourself if you cant hit the net with it from outside. some people can get a handle on it, a lot cant. its not ideal for the low tippable point shot. i would think the modo would be great from the outside.

I don't know about that. I play with a guy who swears by the Drury and his shots from the point are always low and tippable. It's all in your shooting form. If you have good form you can keep shots from any curve low.

thats what i said, i said some guys can get the hang of it - but many cant from outside.

Curve don't matter at all, it's timing. Aim really don't matter much either. If you want to beat a goalie, you have to get your shot off fast without thinking where to aim, e.g., one timers, etc. Once you take a split second to look and aim, you've just given the goalie a split second to get back square to the puck.
