2 pointsI've never tried them but was checking them out and comparing them to the Step Edge steel. The LHS owner said them sharpen well and are good quality steel but had less steel when I compared them directly to the Step's. I ended up getting the Step black steel for my Edge holders and couldn't be happier with them.

1 pointBased on what the guy at the store said, yes. I haven't skated on them, so I can't say for sure.

1 pointWe have been using the scanner since August 2016. I facetime'd the guys at VH to walk me through it and calibrate everything last summer and it has been incredibly accurate for me. Customers before were happy with the traced skates, but I find the scanner has much more accuracy to it. The skates are so heat moldable though so even if your tracings at home are not perfect that will help dial it in dramatically.
