They are testing, comparing and making the results available to the public. It's far better and more transparent than what we have seen from HECC and CSA. Price is a huge issue, as are the optics of the helmet. I know Easton was concerned about them both with the helmet they were working on based on the Reidell football helmet. Saying that no helmet with reduce rotational impact is a lie. As mentioned, VN scores better than EPP on rotational impact tests. However, I realize that doesn't mean that it will prevent a concussion, but it does reduce the rotational impact relative to the harder foam. HECC, CSA, USAH and Hockey Canada all have business relationships that come into play with this discussion and money always seems to trump safety when that is the case. There has been very little, if any, advancement in the safety of hockey helmets in the last two or three decades. I don't see how changing the environment could be any worse than the status quo.

I got a severe concussion and my head never hit anything. The shear whiplash from being run into was enough, mask never came into play.

Well, I did the chat thing with them and they said there's nothing they can do for me since the size I bought is out of stock. Nevermind the fact that when I originally sent them an email a week ago, my size was in stock. When I pointed that out they said no because I used a 10% off coupon. Oh well, I'll just shop at other hockey stores. IceWarehouse has always taken good care of me.

Anyone using and Alkali RPD Max+ stick? How you guys liking them? Can anyone let me know how the A33 pattern stacks up against the sakic equivalents (easton E3/CCM P19/P29, Bauer P92, etc). Sorry for the whole thread, but these sticks arent readily available in the UK and would be a special order through my distributor via my local shop.

Well I finally bought my Easton Mako 2 skates... they fited too well ! :-D I hope they will survive more than 2 years... :)

I said earlier in this post it was tough to get on the ice with my son. Recently we've been fortunate to get into(he's always been in, I've been invited) a private drop in every Sunday. If you ever have the opportunity to skate competatevily with a pup, you're winning. It's like skating with your best friend x 1,000,000. In this case, your best friend is x 1,000,000 better than you as well.

Got my uniforms today! Orientation starts on Monday and I am way excited.
