How about this for customer service. I will give a full description in the next few weeks... Hi Rob, Congrats on your POWERFOOT purchase! Just to let you know, your order shipped today. You should be receiving your inserts within the next 5-8 business days. You mentioned on your order that you’re wearing Bauer skates which typically have a higher profile toe cap than most other skates (e.g., CCM/Reebok, Easton, Graf) which means you will likely have to add the extra 1/8” shims (included in your package) to your inserts. Though, whether to add the shims or not will ultimately depend on the size of your toes and how tight you like your skates. I’ve also added an extra set of 1/16” shims (no charge) in case you need even more thickness to your inserts which can sometimes happen when your skate size is 10+. When you get your inserts, what I suggest you do is try one skate with the insert only and the other skate with the insert and the 1/8” shim. Be sure not to remove the adhesive strips from either the insert or the shim until you know which one fits best! After lacing up your skates, you should be able to tell within 1-2 minutes which one is right for you. If both skates are still too loose, add the 1/16” shim to the skate with the 1/8” shim to give you even more thickness and a tighter fit. If you do have any questions whatsoever, do not hesitate to drop me an email or visit our website at www.adrenalinedesign.ca where you’ll find all kinds of info to help you out (e.g., instructional videos, FAQs, etc.). BTW, if you do like your inserts, please tell your teammates about them! We’re a small company and rely heavily on word-of-mouth. Have a great day! GOOD LORD AM73!!! how are you able to get THIS MUCH open ice?? if it Philly area i may have to take the two hour drive south and crash that party. BTW: i watched your videos and the improvement is great! I am trying to get back into the sport (at 45) after playing house leagues as a kid and into High school (before breaking my femur) i've been doing the "hang around thing" at a small rink 10 mins from home, and hope to be playing 4 on 4 at this small rink (Fritz Dietl) next week. again, the best way to get better is to play. with all that open ice theres lots of margin for error. Getting out on the ice with two full teams skating, will heighten your senses, and allow you to focus more. (i believe). like my pop told me when i first started skiing, if you don't know what to do, FALL. as long as you get back up you're doing it right :) good luck GAB

Going up the ice, you were just holding your left (stick) arm rigid and swinging your right. You relaxed on your way back down and you had both arms moving--nice and straight. Good job. GO PLAY HOCKEY!!! You started this wanting to play hockey, and you can skate and stop well enough to play hockey. Chasing that black 6oz piece of vulcanized rubber with 9 other people is going to show you what else you can work on. Skating is fun, but hockey is an absolute blast. Yes, skating (being able to control yourself safely) was a higher priority, but now you have a lot of other fun things to learn about. Go play hockey. Come back to a new focus on skating in 3-4 months, maybe even take a powerskating class. For me, I have found that I need to take breaks from learning about skating. You always skate, but after learning something new, you just need to go out there and play and work those new details into your weekly game. Come back and focus on it after your good new techniques have become habits and look for new things to refine. I'm still jealous you have so much open ice to yourself!
