I'm not sure what video that would be but True cannot debunk the laws of physics. The longer the lever the less force is required to induce deflection. It doesn't actually change how stiff something is, but it does change how easy it is to bend that thing. That's the sole reason that breaker bars exist.

Gear arrived today so I was only able to try it on. The shin pads feel really sturdy but not bulky. The calf wrap and the 360 strap really keep the pad in place. So far the only issue I see is the top flap above the knee is fairly rigid. When I bent my knees I notice the flap doesn’t tuck back in under the leg openings of my pants. There’s also a fairly shallow kneecap donut hole compared to other pads I’ve used. I don’t have any doubts about them being protective enough, but I have a beer league playoff game tomorrow night and might not want to use them in a “high stakes” game where I’m not 100% comfortable/familiar with them to use them just yet. The shoulder pads seem to fit well, I do kind of like how the bicep straps are fixed to the pad rather than with removable with Velcro, it will take a little bit of getting used to putting them on and off.

Hmm, the latest Vapor 2X Pro are nothing similar in appearance to my Vapor X100 shin pads. They don't have the segmented lower shin section. It seemed gimmicky anyway. I wore the Vapor shin guards under the tongue and got a shin pad that was an inch shorter than my previous Rbk/CCM pads.

It's all in my head I know, but I bring two of the same spec sticks, and swap them if I'm not playing well. Strangely works.

The distance the stick is measured over for the flex rating doesn't change for an extended stick. Stock height or extended, they all go on the flex machine with the same distance between the arms.
