This makes sense Ellipse 1 is recommend for size 9-10. Ellipse Zero is recommended for size 7-8.

Yea, i liked ellipse zero on 263s. Recently went down a size in skates and so am on 254s. Tried ellipse xs (recommended for 254 runners) and yea, ok liked it. But have really liked the quad xs (the stock power profiles for 254s actually, which is a quad xs). For me that’s the winner. As many have said here, there’s something not aggressive enough about the toe of the ellipse… but I’ll try them again tomorrow morning, just for a giggle… I’ll be back

Purchased it and tried it in a beer league playoff game Sunday. full disclosure my TJ is very similar to how Kaliyev tapes his blade. Maybe 4/5 passes toward the toe only. I purchased the 2 pack and cut about 60% of the forehand off and kept the back hand oem style. Using a Bauer S19 league stick. very easy application, goes on like a giant sticker. I cleaned the blade with some brake cleaner, wiped it off and let dry for 10 mins (I’m in automotive, I’m very confident you don’t even have to do that I just have a bunch lying around) being a roller player as a kid I am kind of used to not having tape on the bottom. The bottom of the blade not having friction to most people will be WEIRD. I noticed it was slightly lighter but wasn’t that noticeable. Got a goal and my shots were on point all night, ran into a good goalie tbh. I got some scratches on my forehand but all cosmetic blemishes after a hard fought 7-0 game. Definitely worth a shot if you have the money or are like me and are always looking for a little extra edge! Also, I whole heartedly agree with the good quality tape comment. Cheap tape SUCKS!

A 5100 or Re-Akt-75 should fit similarly with comparable, maybe slightly less protection. Inhaler was back in the HC100 days from Itech, or was it the Intake(?) and iirc they produced Mission branded Bauer helmets for a few years after, with a Re-Akt style single point adjustment shell i want to say. If you're able to wear a small, HM has huge discounts on Resistance helmets as well

Protection is always important regardless of whether you play roller hockey, ice hockey, mountain bike, or rollerblade. That being said, maybe look at the new Bauer Hyperlite helmet. It's pricey but lightweight and many people I know that play competition roller hockey seem to like it.

I don't care if they put a layer of Unobtanium between the adhesive and the finish layer, if they say to replace it after 10 uses, it's moot people that have used blade tape in the past had them last for months, I’m still skeptical of the benefit of these.
