Honestly, pretty legit graphics! I am impressed. Only complaint is I wish they had done the paint the whole way down to the blade like the OG version, but I’ll take it. Hopefully we get a si-core next! https://imgur.com/a/3n5gQKQ edit: let me know if the link doesn’t work. I am a noob at image links haha.

They are a franken-skate, similar to what Crosby, Tavares, and McDavid use. I imagine they are closer in design to the 80K/90K than anything.

Warrior used to make some of the best gloves. Now they make probably the worst gloves on the market.

Nick Paul with CCM gloves in their new bubble boy font MacKinnon with new Ribcors?

Shot one yesterday, felt a lot like my 2s pro. Kinda undecided if I should get one, recently made the move to toe curves and I'm finally used to it, don't really want to go back lol

Wow. I wouldn't want to apply just from looking at how that job posting is formatted. Looking at warrior.com, it's not up on their careers page. I was hoping they would have acquired Alkali. Tron sunk that ship. Meanwhile Justin Hoffman was doing impressive things with their skates, and there were still a few Mission loyalists looking for a new pair of boots along those lines. It'll be interesting to see what their angle might be if/when this comes to fruition. The direction their protective, especially gloves, has been going the last few years, my expectations are on the low end.

MacKinnon's special skates have both 80K and 100K graphics elements to them. They don't actually correspond to a particular CCM model from what I can tell.

I wonder who sells more new skates in a year, Graf or some trash sub-Tron level skate people find on Instagram.

My friend's sticks arrived. Two RH 91A's in 77 flex. He was told they're the old Synergy but with a mid-kick. Flex feels high-mid, not low. Based on where the blade meets the shaft he's guessing it's a Bauer mold, not Easton. He's guessing a prior Supreme like 2S Pro. Grip shaft with sandpaper blade. If it's worth anything the sticker on the blade says: 1061418 Easton Synergy Grip Stk-SR-77(60")

In the NHL, skate users are split at 68% Bauer, 23% CCM, 10% True (according to Geargeek). Anyone have any idea what the market split is for general public? I'm all for more selection and choices. I'm rocking the Easton Mako IIs right now.

I don’t see Graf as a ‘major’ brand anymore.

How long have you had the 100K? If under 90 days you can return them for a full refund and then pay the difference for a pair of custom skate.

Does it have to be a top-top end skate? For what it’s worth I’m about 175-180 lbs (similar playing background) and the FT490 has felt significantly better for me than the FT2 having skated in both. Older model but you get the parallel. I get way better flexion out of the boot (both used top eyelet undone and with Tuuk Edge instead of XS) and don’t feel like I’m in a cast. Haven’t had any issues with the boot holding up either. If that isn’t an option a custom 100k seems like the right play but I’d give the FT4 (non pro) a look in your situation. The FT490 is my favorite skate since the old Bauer One90 which had crazy range of motion.

There’s no incentive to make a stick that lasts longer. Put new graphics on a stick, charge $15 more, re-release it every year, and then do an “LE” version for $20 more with limited run graphics
