Speed Plates are amazing IMO. I found someone on PHEW that had a pair brand new and he sold them to me for $35 shipped. Baked them in my home over @ 200 degrees until the ink disappeared then threw them in my MX3's and stood for about 1 minute or so. It molds to every inch of your arch and toes...fits like a glove afterwards on the bottom of your foot. I also got the POWERFOOT inserts to reduce the negative space in the toebox and now have the most comfortable skate I've ever worn and every movement my foot makes is directly transmitted to the ice. I was previously on Superfeet Greens and also Yellows in the same MX3's but without the PF inserts. I can only imagine every top Bauer skate going forward will have the Speed Plate,,,it's definitely that good.

For someone that has been playing only a few months you are doing really well, and to the people that say you have no chance to play even in a lower rec league are talking bollox, who is anyone to say what your motivation is??.... I would get a skills pad if you do not have one and look online for off ice stick handling drills, as I keep banging on you need to be consistent to get better and do not have the thoughts of "not today but tomorrow" have a daily training routine. I am a huge fan of one to one coaching and you do need some pointers to help with body postion and technique but that is very common even for advanced players, is there someone local who is a coach that can help you??.. Do not shy away from roller hockey, there is enough "ice like" chassis out there now that make the transition from roller to ice far easier than it once was defo something to look into as you can train almost anywhere. 5 minutes shift are no use what so ever, 45 seconds to 1 minute max is what you need to aim for sadly this is rare in rec hockey normally due to poor coaching or the lack of a coach , hence you are blowing out your ass after the first period. All in you need to take the ruff with the smooth and be happy with small gains in your game, as you get older it does get harder but you still have 30+years to play this game just be consistant..

Just finished using them on the ice for the first time. These are worth the price for comfort alone, my skates normally give me sore feet and with power foot the pain was greatly reduced. Control was definitely improved as well. Much better leverage to put them exactly where I wanted them. I'm really glad I gave these a go, I'm definitely getting another pair for my inlines now. For the small cost the better comfort alone makes these a very good purchase for anyone interested.

In my experience, it doesn't affect your edges at all...just answering in case you don't get a response from SK8TFuel until 2019.

Played 4 on 4 with goalie today. Bunch of guys from the local men's leagues and a couple of college guys. Definitely the worst player on ice, but it wasn't a complete shitshow and the guys were really nice. I got off about 7 shots on goal and was stone walled on every one :-( did manage an assist though!
