Being born and raised in California, I haven't had too many opportunities to play pond....I played in the New England Pond Hockey Classic in Meredith, NH earlier this month and had a blast!

So after reading through this thread pretty much cover to cover and having a few discussions with the guys at VH (who have been awesome at dealing with me and all my questions) I took the plunge and ordered a pair about a week ago. Lead time should be about 4 weeks, and as I live in Sweden I assume there will be about a week for delivery. The anticipation is killing me. I can't wait to get them home, bake them and take them out for a skate.

Howdy, Yeah, I need to a dryland area setup at home. I've been slacking on some projects that have to get done to get area in the garage free'd up for that. One of the other main areas I've been working on lately though is positioning... I.e. getting to where I'm going to need to be. That seems to be coming from games vs. anything else really. Plus games are fun, so I'm not going to be giving them up any time soon, even if I might add some hours of dryland practice to my weeks. :-) Mark

Well, I just got back from the post office to ship a girdle first class to Toronto from southeast Pennsylvania. The cost? $36.50. Thirty six frickin' fifty. Canada is now officially on my no-ship list until freight companies decide to stop being extortionists. In addition, I'm reasonably sure the Popeye's I had afterwards gave me food poisoning. Also, as speaking as a forever alone, today is like the first day of winter (screw cold weather), Black Friday, and Hitler's birthday all rolled into one. Lastly, I decided to bitch about all of this on a hockey forum on the Internet. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

HA! i have to wear a "concert tee" to my games too. been doing it from the early days. Usually Maiden and Priest shirts back then. Now its more Blackberry Smoke, The Sword, or Clutch. with the Maiden shirt coming out for playoffs

If I don't have a Ramones Shirt on then it's a Clash or Joy Division T shirt.Not hard to figure out my musical taste. It's a sad world we live in, The Ramones are dead yet Justin Bieber and Kanye West are allowed to suck up oxygen. Ice was great, better than we thought it would be, much better. Zamboni Driver had a little issue, took him 25 minutes to resurface between the 2nd and 3rd. He's still learning!
