I’ve had the EZ Goal since, 2005’ish maybe 2006. Still going strong, it’s survived every Boston winter since. Never stored it inside, its been in a driveway since I got it. Honestly never folded it up so I can’t speak on that. Only ‘maintenance’ I’ve done is new netting a few times. Well worth the investment if you ask me. Also congrats on the house! Can only imagine the hoops you had to jump through to find a house in the Boston Metro market, real estate is bananaland right now around here.

I’ve done two pairs and it was the same with both. Just keep at it

Ah that makes sense. I tried with acetone and I was going pretty hard and got nothin, so I figured I'd ask. Maybe I'll try to Dremel with a buffer pad soaked in acetone or something to try to save time

Just an educated guess but I'd imagine the Vapor boot in the same fit (Fit 1) might heighten the issue you are already having, as historically it is a narrower/shallower fit. But it really comes down to the construction differences between the 2 lines. Moving the Vapor up to a Fit 2 and I'd be concerned you'd lose the heel lock you are praising in the 3S but maybe gaining a bit of room in the forefoot.

Don´t forget that half and full sizes have a different construction in the toebox. In a half-size boot the toebox, above a small foam-wall, is some mm longer than the insole.

I would say they both feel very good for the top end models, can't say anything about lower level models. It's hard to say if the Swiss actually feel better or if it's the placebo effect. They're both well-made skates
