I had to google the term -- I'd never heard of it.

I must be old, since I can think of a whole lot of things I'd rather do.
-
Glad to hear you're on top of it. Too many folks get blindsided by serious health problems. Good luck with it; I'm sure you're reading all the instructions now.

Sounds like the kind of thing that really brings life into focus, and makes you really live your best moments, taking nothing for granted. It's also great to see people really care about you, and see them step up to help when it counts, and the cost may be huge. Carlo sounds like a hell of a human being.

Shades of Robin Hood!

Not after a game like that I couldn't. It'd be while before I could talk.

You absolutely refuse to go lower? But, seriously, why not just tell them OK, 50% off the total, if it makes them happy?
-
What could it hurt?

If you're lucky, the print's big enough now. Reminds me of consumer contracts, and all the lawsuits that each resulted in one more provision requiring bold and/or larger print.

My back is still sore from over 4 weeks ago, and I haven't played since. I stopped in front of the net, and a pickup teammate skated up behind me, hitting the back of my right skate with his left skate just before stopping. I have no idea why he didn't turn, or just stop sooner. Anyway, due to my body position, it gave my back a real solid wrench, took my leg up in the air, and put me flat on my back. It's getting better, and the spasms are gone, but the soreness isn't all gone, so I'm waiting, before I risk re-injury.

It's only soft by the end of the game. Leagues generally start each game with a new ball, and it's hard, though it doesn't seem quite as hard as smaller balls. Fortunately, the bigger size allows the impact with the hand to be spread over a larger area. You can tell the guys who've played in leagues for years by the bent first knuckles. Not everyone can qualify for the 16 inch league.

Ouch. What's the fix, and how much downtime? BTW, can't help loving that phrase "archery incident".

Good thing that you had at least one symptom that took you to the doctor.

The next day, and she's still crying?

H, you're either burning off tons of bad karma from a prior life, or building up a lot of good karma for future incarnations.
-
Just kidding around -- "snide" sounds kinda nasty, which isn't me.

Suerte.

Nice. Doesn't sound like it can get any better -- might as well retire.

From other posts I gather it's for a classic car, which I didn't get from "classic insurance policy".
-
What does that mean?

H, glad you got a place you like. The prospective new job situation sucks, but at least you're not unemployed. I hope the new neighborhood is safer, and the new neighbors like dogs. Did you move far? Fatwabbit and BJB, glad to hear you guys are getting back out. So far I've been fortunate, and haven't missed more than a week due to injury, my whole life (57 & counting).

Guitar stuff or what ever you play

Sounds like my little practice setup with an MXR distortion box, and a 60's Silvertone 15W tube amp. -
Thanks, but I never saw a link to this, or a pointer to anyplace outside this thread. Since you addressed your comments to mug25, I just looked at the last pictures he posted, as it appeared he did, and couldn't make a connection. I saw your reference to page 210, but still don't know what or where that might be. My computer shows this as page 80 of this thread, so you must be referring to something else.

I suspect that's why you've seemed a bit scarce here lately. My condolences, but it doesn't seem enough, somehow.
