  1. I had an 8K before but I didn't really like it as much as the way the Vector fits. I've been planning to get one for a very long time and when I did I got beaked at like no tomorrow HOw do you like the shaft and the helmet? i can't get used to the xxxlite grip. btw, didn't you make canucks music videos before? do you still do that? Shaft - Well I guess this makes it my 4th XXX Lite including my iD one. I love it. Helmet - I haven't used it yet, hopefully soon though Videos - The last one I made was midway thru last season but I stopped when NHL.com took over every team's website and Canucks stopped showing their CanucksTV highlights.
  2. XXX Lite shaft I got a while back vector helmet w/ hs22 pro wave visor
  3. my Nike 0004 Canucks Pro Return helmet finally cracked :( bought a White CCM Vector helmet
  4. question: not my gloves, don't really know who's they are but what kinda palms are on these eagles? I know Naslund used them on his when he had Eagles and they are some of the sickest palms i've ever felt and if I got custom Eagles I'd like to get these if possible..
  5. added: NBH Vapor XXX Lite 77 Flex shaft with P14 clone blade.

    Nike/Bauer 4 Roll

NikeBauer Pro 4-Roll Gloves Fit - Another snug fit at the fingers and loose fit around the cuff, this fits my criteria. I said before that I would probably go for the One90's but they ended up being too tight and I didn't like the feel of the receptors. Fits very nice. 10/10 Weight - Definitely no Vapor XXX or a Supreme One90. All that padding does kind of make it a little tougher to move around freely and it takes a bit to get used to if you've been using lighter gloves. 8.5/10 Mobility - Lots of wrist movement (just a personal preference) and once you work the palms in a little, it feels great. The flex-lock thumb also adds to the comfort. 9.5/10 Break-in - Didn't take too long. For me it took about 2 games to get them feeling soft. 10/10 Protection - This is what makes the glove heavier. Quite possibly the most protective mitts I've used, I've been slashed several times and felt nothing. Also comes with the flex-lock thumb so that helps too. 10/10 Durability - So far so good. The palm is holding up very well and the shell itself is not too shabby but like most other nylon gloves, it's bound to deteriorate faster than leather or portofino etc;. The embroidery is also holding up good, I don't see any frays or loose strings. 9/10 Intangibles - Absolute tanks, pretty easy to move in and what else is there to say? You don't pay as much as the other top end gloves (exception of TPS R8 gloves) but you still get top quality. NBH did a smart move of bringing back the SDP. Another wicked thing about these puppies is that they have 4 vent holes at the back hand. Truthfully, I can say that my hands are at best moist at the end of a game and sometimes you can feel the nice cool breeze flow thru the glove when you're skating. Conclusion - Cheap, protective, mobile. What more can you ask for? Final Score: 9.5/10
  7. got my nbh custom xxx lite today
  8. ...maybe against an opponent it is not be encouraged. I saw an interview where Ovechkin talked about trading/collecting sticks and getting them autographed from other players when he goes and plays against them, so I couldn't see any harm in asking for an autograph from Kovalev ;)
  9. So hoping to see you get drafted by Vancouver. In the future I will see you playing on Sportsnet and you will be up against Luongo :P but congrats dave
  10. another swede to the canucks!? In the local paper here Perron isn't listed in the top ten anymore edit: my bad, that was British Columbia's top 10, Dave is still Top 10 in NA skaters.
  11. added a Warrior Dolomite Nipple Grip to the family
  12. i thought something was weird.. lol
  13. if anyone wanted to see David in action heres a link to videos of top prospects for the draft this year http://canucks.com/subpage.asp?sectionID=822
  14. since breaking the XXX Lite, finally bought a NBH One60 wood stick as a cheap backupfor my V130 shaft.
  15. David is getting lots of attention here, almost a news article every day in the papers
  16. congrats AK-27! Maybe you'll get drafted by Vancouver :P
  17. His are 14" so there's more cuff, my 13" are pretty short Yep....real nice glove. Got mine about a month ago...best gloves I have ever used. Do those NBH gloves have the plastic inserts in the fingers and rest fo the hand? plastic is everywhere
  18. I was skeptical of using them when I got them but I love them more than my Vapor XXX's now. Once you wear the gloves in a little the thicker palm doesn't really matter, plus it has vents pretty much everywhere so your hand stays nearly dry throughout the whole game. For the price, I don't think there's a better glove out there (unless the TPS R8's are better)
  19. bought a pair of NBH Pro 4 Roll mitts today in Navy 13"
  20. just got a NBH Vapor XXX Lite wood blade for my Vector 130. Feels great.
  21. just added a CCM Vector 130 shaft with a Dolomite 2 blade draper curve. Loving the way it almost looks like an ops and the way it performs, of course
  22. I use Sony Cybershot 5.1M can't remember the model name and just use Photoshop to touch it up.
  23. finally another 2.0 user :)
  24. NikeBauer One90 7.5 C Last used: Bauer 8000s, 7.5D Narrow heel, wide forefoot, very flat feet. Introduction - This skate was actually more of a gift than anything so it was either this or some other thing I don't remember. Let me start off by saying that this skate does not disappoint. Fit - When I was being fitted for these, I originally thought 7.5D would fit perfectly for me but it turns out 7.5C fit even better so I went with those. I had a killer pain at first along my left foot instep before and after baking but thought nothing of it. After breaking it in, I could not ask for a more perfect fitting skate. I also added some more custom-than-normal superfeet in there and that just topped it off. 10/10 Blade/Holder - Coming off of heel lifts on my 8000s, I decided to try just radius this time. The 1st session on ice seemed okay but the sessions that followed after seemed so odd. I was missing something and every now and then I would miss a stride but I realised it wasn't the holder/runner's fault. After consulting, I concluded it was the missing heel lifts so I had them put in and problem solved. (The only thing you really have to adjust to is the colour of the holder if you hate it) 10/10 Weight - Feels like you're wearing shoes. 10/10 Protection - Very stiff boot. I've taken a couple shots off the boot and didn't feel anything. I took one shot off the tongue where theres a little extra strip of padding and felt more than I probably should've but that was probably because I had a sprained ankle a the time. Again, no complaints here. 10/10 Durability - Other than your average scuffs on the toe, take care of your skates and you will be fine. 10/10 Conclusion - Obviously if you pay $800 CDN for a skate you better be getting your money's worth. This skate was solid in every department and has yet to let me down. If you have a chance to get this skate and it does fit you, get it. I can't really say anything bad about this skate and for you weight freaks out there you'll love it because it's so light. Overall 10/10
