I have the 100 Flex RX3 stick, And i would have to say, yes it feels whippier then other brands 100 flex. I actually prefer it. On the not trusty Australian feel o meter - id say its equiv to most brands 90-95 flex. Which is actually perfect for me, as i find 85 flex in any brand like pool noodles. Other gear i have is their RX3 Elbow pads - i really like them with the sleeve they have. I also have some surgeon gloves (older model) which are really snug, but comfortable as sin.

No Idea on the newer stuff, Stores over here in Australia are pretty limited, so we usually either have to buy when on work/social trips to US/Canada, or order online and hope. Though i did buy mine a couple of trips ago in store over there. and whilst they had limited range (in INT sizing) i found the HD1 to be the widest at the bottom as i tuck my tongue under. I just have short legs, as im actually 6" Tall. But every 'size guide' i dont fit 15 shins. The new Alpha appear online very similar but updates colours, so design is similar.. Possibly newer tech in foams?

For what its worth, i use 14" Intermediate, and i have the Warrior HD1 (was their top end a while back when i bought them). Still going Strong, and im about 105Kg (google tells me 230lbs) . I always thought CCM were the most ''robust'' by reputation though.

The new STX Surgeon RX3 gear is out.
bnr032 replied to ParabolicActivity's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
For those whinging about a 'small' market in canada.. Remember us Australians 😞 I am rocking a STX Surgeon RX ... and cant find anywhere with stock of RH P88 of the RX2.. and now the RX3 cant be shipped 😞 -
i dont really have cheap and fast internet here in australia... but we do have the fun police - but they do not know how to deal with VPN's haha

finally got sent some photos of me, as a player on our team was injured who happens to take photos for a living... over 15 years of playing - only photos of me are in the 'team shots' for the end of year etc...

My big whinge at the moment is Heel Blisters. I essentially got them being lazy and playing soccer in a really thin pair of socks that i dont normally play in - in my newish boots... All good except that was about 4 weeks ago - and i still have the blisters (havent popped them etc) So i have had to a) use my old soccer boots, and b) use blister bandages which dont do much on their own when your playing sport - so also have to tape the area and pad it out extra . I just wish they would go away... they even hurt when skating :(

Currently i have the following going on Helmet: Bauer 4500 Black Visor: Oakley Pro Straight - But due for replacement as its scratched to hell (so is angled up) Shoulder pads: Reebok 9k Padded Shirt Elbow pads: Reebok 11k Elbows Gloves: Warrior Franchise in White/Silver Pants: Warrior Projekt Girdle (just converted to girdle system) With Tackla shells Shin pads: Old Koho 6690s - cant even find a picture of these online but were bought a year or 2 before i had an extended break in my late teens Skates: CCM u12s, But i have some CCM tacks which i need to rebake and start using Sticks: Warrior Widow - Kovalchuk Curve - 100 Flex, Montreal M60 (i think painted warrior) - Euro Curve - 100 Flex (i used to use Montreal woodies before my extended break from the game so bought a bunch of these). I am now trying to slowing dial back my flex as i have lost a bunch of weight recently.

i was more trying to highlight the fact that on one hand, everyone whinges that when they go to pro team sales, there is nothing left because the first few people came and bought all that they could carry regardless of if for private use etc. Then on the other hand we celebrate people who have 4 girdles which cant possibly be for personal use.
-
can someone explain to me, why you would need 4x girdles that look give or take the same vintage/model... I understand people upgrade gear at times ie i have an older pair of pants that i dont use as i got new ones that fit better... But 4 pairs? (not in regards to consumables such as blades/sticks etc)

you need to make these for sale....and offer international post haha

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
bnr032 replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
well that would explain it, but im certain i saw someone write 6/32 on another forum somewhere. either way i could only source 3/16 so they seem to be working fine (not doing roller conversion, but replacing a broken holder.) it should be noted in australia it would mean posting boots and products away and getting them back a couple of weeks later, as there is zero people locally to do it (the local rink i dont even trust sharpening my skates)- 2845 replies

bnr032 replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
this may sound like a stupid question... But why does everyone say use 6/32' tee nuts.... Aren't they just 3/16' Tee nuts?- 2845 replies

I just got these in the mail... I have always loved Montreal sticks (i have only just started using composite OPS, always used the Montreal 9950 fibrelights back in the day, So these came up at the right price, classic 4 roll design. Im upgrading from CCm pro tack 4 rolls or whatever from 10 years ago, they have warn through the outside leather.. Also please note - my camera phone is stupid, the pink parts are infact orange.. so they are what you would call islander colors. I just got these in the mail...
