As I was pulling into work, my car started misfiring.. into the shop it goes, not looking forward to finding how much german engineering repairs cost. Did I mention there's no hockey on today either?

http://www.swiftwick.com/cut-resistant-hockey-sock-11772-prd1.htm These and the Bauer NG 37.5 socks are my favorites. I really like the swiftwicks because they're still thin and breathable, unlike most cut-proof socks.

Now that's Venting Spot 101.

You and me both! What division are you in?

Couldn't be happier with the fit after heat molding these Max+'s. The skate on the right is unbaked, the skate on the left is baked (mine). The eyelets really laid over like the top of the quarter package does in the pic. Reminds me of baking the Makos. Can't wait to give these a spin in my game tomorrow, even though I've been skating around in them around the warehouse a bit haha.

Right there with Punk, just in time for TBT. I was debating pilfering these Red Star chassis for my conversion. These are a coworkers but still beauts nonetheless.- 2845 replies

That's seems to be the word around town ;) Anyways, I'm going with the Hi-Lo Mag frame.. Weightlessness wins by default, should get them on tomorrow. Will upload pics when I can.- 2845 replies

In that case, I'll just keep using these Fish BoneLite Pro's :) That'd be awesome, I've never been able to give your guys' skates a try.- 2845 replies

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
IW Team - Chase replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
Gentlemen, I need your guys' expert opinion. I'm mounting inline frames on my Tacks ice boots. I've got the Humer Eviction, a Mag 76-80 Hi-Lo and a Redstar 72-80 Hi-Lo to choose from. I grew up on ice and that's where I learned to skate, still trying to fine-tune my inline stride. So with that in mind, what do you think the best bet is here?- 2845 replies

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion

How do you mean the wheel recesses into the boot? Was there some custom work done to the outsole or does it just fit that way naturally with the heel lift? It definitely looks like a good, close fit. I've never converted a pair myself, just curious!- 2845 replies

Hey JR, how come you went with the all 80 setup? Just curious as to why. PS: they look great, makes me want to get my ONE90 converts out.- 2845 replies

2015 Product Release Dates
IW Team - Chase replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2015 Product Catalogue Reviews
They won't be available aftermarket until 2016, sadly. They'll still be released with the 1X's though. -
Brought home a Beer League 'Chip Thursday, took my dad to a concert Friday and then we went to the Kings/Preds game Saturday. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend that encompassed spending time with family, playing hockey, watching hockey and seeing a great band live. Well, maybe a King's W would have been nice too but this isn't the Venting thread haha.
-
I actually had a Minnesotian tell me something along those lines in a game not too long ago. I still refuse to believe it haha.

We're freezing up the coast from you Optimus. 79 degrees out, almost had to use my AC today
-
I'm assuming you're looking at the non-plus RPD intermediates yeah? The 52" looks like a typo, I just measured from the top of the handle to the heel of the blade that makes contact with the ice. It's 56". Site's updated too.

They fit great, I like the grippy texture that sits on the forearm. They just felt huge compared to my old pair, but what isn't these days on the market ha. Overall, I like 'em but would probably go with something more low-pro like the RBZ's next time. You weren't lying about Legitsville, man were they comfy and protective. Not to mention the 37.5 dries out real quick post-game.
-
Finally decided to upgrade my shins & elbows. They're getting their first run through tomorrow morning, looking forward to testing out the 37.5 in the APX2's. For reference: both shin's are 14" and both elbows are mediums,

2014 Reebok/CCM Catalogue
IW Team - Chase replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2014 Product Catalogue Reviews
I'm not sure about stiffness but I do know the COR increases as you go from the heel to the toe. On the SuperFast, it also increases much more rapidly than the Stage 2.- 117 replies

Very close buddy. In this case it's the removable liner, thicker foams, better moisture management and the Free-Flex piece near the bottom of the shinny. I'm working on a page to explain general differences between Rec, Performance and Elite Levels of Play.
