  1. The S180 was my favorite price point in the line. It comes with the same tendon guard found on the MX3, the same liner found on the 190 and the tongue is slightly upgraded compared to the previous 180.
  2. When I wear Supremes, I have to lace them outside-in to gain a little more volume to avoid dreaded lace bite. These Super Tacks didn't give me any issue at all, they should be able to fit the majority of feet.
  3. Technically the RibCor's are built on the narrowest last but since it's a more flexible material, it tends to open up for wider feet. That being said, I went from a RibCor D to a Super Tacks EE without too much of an issue. I would definitely recommend heat molding them regardless, it makes a significant difference especially in the forefoot.
  4. The info on the product page is what I have found to run most true, while the info on the size chart page is what Alkali has provided. I'm a 9.5 - 10.0 in Alkali Skates, 8.0 - 8.5 in Bauer and 10.5 shoe size (brannock shoe device).
  5. In my opinion, it sits between narrow and medium, maybe on the side of medium more than narrow. The Hyperlock L pads really lock the heel down and with such a moldable boot, a quick bake shores up ankle depth issues. The ankle was slightly narrowed on the RPE line too.
  6. To answer your guys' question, Alkali widened the forefoot and used a lower profile tongue. I felt the new tongue gave me more room on the sides of my foot, plus its a little less thick than the traditional felt tongue; which is where you gain more volume internally too.
  7. The Zenith has extra stiffeners through the quarter package for more rigidity.
  8. I've really enjoyed using these in Nexus skates but tried them out in Supreme's last night and they were a bit too snug for my taste. Granted, Supreme is a hair too shallow for my feet anyways.
  9. Here's a set we did for a co-worker, I think the black on black came out well. Thankfully we didn't need to dremel the outosle either.
  10. Just got my set in today, can't wait to try these out. I've been using lower volume skates for awhile but recently started breaking in a pair of Nexus. The Nexus toe box feels significantly taller than what I'm used to and I seem to "swim" around a bit too much but the rest of the boot fits like a charm, here's to hoping these are the problem solver!
  11. I'll 2nd that, the Shift+ has the same boot as the Max+ but with a different chassis & wheels.
  12. That was one of the craziest innings I've ever seen. Here's my favorite quote from the whole ordeal : "The baseball gods are on peyote and throwing flaming furniture off the roof, and there isn't a damned thing we can do about it."
  13. You and your loved ones will be in my prayers Chadd.
  14. Those are beaut's MC, I'm typically not a fan of black felt but damn those came out nice! I really like the black stitching too. Well done!
  15. @LAK5656 - If you can't find any more Max's around, check out True Hockey's A Series. You might have already known this but True made Alkali's sticks (Team & Max).
  16. Wow Chris, those are s-i-l-k-y. Well done sir.
  17. Bummer, I'll miss Woodhouse. " Sir, that stolen lemur bit one of your prostitutes right in the face. And she says she can't go to a hospital because she's, I quote, 'tripping balls' "
  18. I got a rash on both of upper portion of my calves.. It wasn't the Poron for me but I still got it. Glad to know I wasn't the only one. You're spot on with the review, well done!
  19. I've personally seen two different compatibility issues with the SpeedPlates, one on my 50K's and another on a friend's JetSpeeds. There's a little ripple/wrinkle thing that forms near the center of the SpeedPlate. My guess is the concave shape of the midsole in another brand's skates affects the SpeedPlate's ability to properly mold.
  20. Yep, turns out it's just plugs & a coil though. Not too shabby!
