  1. LOL. I appreciate that. It's just frustrating when I get "scolded" after the game by players due to all of the calls I supposedly missed. *rolls eyes* If they wanted me to call everything I saw, the entire game would be a powerplay/penalty kill.
  2. I don't think lower level hockey players have any idea of just how difficult it is to officiate their games. 75% of the penalties are pure judgement calls because I'm honestly unsure if the player was doing something on purpose or simply can't skate. I get complained at all night and it really starts to frustrate me. Keeping the calls consistent is so difficult. Oh, and most of them think they are NHL caliber skaters who would never fall on their own. /rant
  3. 1 month left until I take the MCAT and I am starting to get burned out. 5-7 hours of studying every night after work is tiring. Not to mention I have so much more to review. Beginning to feel overwhelmed and my confidence/morale is slowly declining....... :(
  4. Why did you pass on Japan? I've heard from multiple people that it's a fantastic place to visit. Tokyo is on my bucket list.
  5. What a steal. And they were plenty durable. I think you are thinking of the SyNergy SL.
  6. To quote my mother: Moderators brought you into this forum, and they can take you out of this forum as well. ;)
  7. I don't think it will be terrible once I get a lighter cage with flat bars. Still rough though. Got nothing but stares and puzzled looks today. Didn't your parents tell you it's rude to stare?!?!? ;-)
  8. Took a nice deflection to the face yesterday. The cage will now be going on permanently. Lol
  9. That curve is booootiful.
  10. Very cool! My mom drives a 2012 Focus Titanium hatchback and absolutely loves it. It's a pretty nice car to drive and is great on gas.
  11. Very nice! Please tell me the blade feel is back to the RBZ/Stage 2 feel. The Superfast had a completely different blade that was awful.
  12. Getting close to my ultimate goal. Finishing up a physics class this summer, and taking the MCAT in August. My Primary Medical School applications will be submitted then as well. Getting excited, but at the same time VERY nervous. This time next year I hope to be moving to a new city and starting school. Class of 2020 hopeful (fingers crossed!)
  13. After 2 years of no cage, I finally got high sticked. No damage (thankfully), but I guess it's time to put the old cage back on for beer league.
  14. Tried a new lacing pattern (The Crosby) and like it a lot. Skipped the second to last eyelet and looped through the top. Forward flex is great and the stability is even better. Is that a Panamera? Very jealous.
  15. True, but this combined with my chronic depression and OCD makes everything worse than the normal person. Isolation just exacerbates those two issues immensely. ^^^This is the only thing keeping me going. I know everything will work out (it usually does) and I get to do something I know I will love.
  16. I really need a change of scenery. I've honestly never felt so alone before. I am so busy with school that I hardly have anytime to work (which means I literally have no money). I am grateful for my parents being able to help me out (free lodging), but because I have no money, I'm pretty much isolated to my house. I take my MCAT in September and then send my primary applications to my target schools. Hopefully I am out of here in the months that follow that. I'm miserable.
  17. Now if we can just get the damn cable companies to stop throttling our internet. Can't wait for Google Fiber.......
  18. Put these together for a buddy today. Pro stock Scott Gomez Ribcor skates
  19. Well, looks like I was wrong. I AM using an AMT Trainer at my gym. I had never heard of that, so I assumed it was just an elliptical. Great machine.
  20. Yes, it's an awkward movement if you are new to it. I remember using for the first time in college and feeling the same way. Once your body adapts (which took a few times for me) the movement is effortless.
  21. As per my rep, the LKP sticks are still available in the T series.
  22. So I would update this with my extended X800 experience. I picked up an 87 flex and everything is MUCH, much better. I think part of the problem I was having with the blade was that the stick was whipping when I was stickhandling and catching passes (you can see the whip in the video I posted). Everything is much crisper with the 87 flex. It's still not amazing, but it's acceptable. The stick shoots rockets and has a great release. I will continue to use them. You cannot beat this stick for $129. It's just not possible. However, I would advise you move up a flex when purchasing. I usually use 77's.
  23. Exactly. I was pushing myself (heart rate was above 150 the entire time) but I was enjoying it, so it didn't seem like work.
  24. Exactly. I was forcing myself to run and hating every minute of it. This is miles better.
