Nothing like coming down with a mystery ailment that knocks you out for the better part of 24 hours. I feel 100 times better than I did 12 hours ago but I still feel like crap.

FAA required us to change days/times for our 2011 training review, now I have to fly out on Sunday before I could get back from Winterfest.

Skated my first game in almost a month and my ankle held up. Had the first goal of the game to boot. Unfortunately, it was also our last but that belongs in another topic.

That sucks, sorry to hear that. I was on the bench wiping the snow of the bottom of my blade and a guy came over the bench and flopped on my thigh. I still have a scar across three fingers from that.

A good defenseman can control the game more than a good forward. When I was coaching I moved some of our better players to defense, it helped the team.

While I was recovering from my concussion the insurance company set up a number of appointments for me and it turns out they decided not to pay a couple of them. Now I have collection agencies calling and the case worker won't answer her phone or call me back. Really starting to get pissed about this.

Knowing how to shoot the puck when it isn't in the ideal position is a skill most rec level players don't have. Learning it makes a big difference.

I had to grab a guitar, crank up the amp and kick out sister havana when I read it.

When dressing the wheel the first time or when changing hollows it will take a little longer than when just touching it up. How frequently you dress the wheel is up to you. I prefer to dress the wheel for every skate, more often if there are chips or nicks that I need to work through. If you are just doing your own skates and dressing for each skate, the wheel and spinner will still last a long time.
