The problem is too many skill guys. With only one or two they would focus on using those guys to their best. Unfortunately, it's very hard to mesh Gonchar's blast from the point with Sid's passing. Since both are leftys they can't have both on their forehand so Sid can work the half boards and have Gonchar there for the one timer.

I am miffed about this. I've been a fan of his for years but never could watch his show. The earlier time along with Hulu having episodes meant I watched him a lot more. Screw Leno, Conan should have stayed. I was also not super thrilled about the sendoff with Will Ferrel and the couple other guests performing. I know it was more for him, but I was hoping for some grand spectacle. Billy Gibbons and Beck playing Freebird is something you aren't going to see too often. Typical Will Ferrell though, every time they cut to a different camera he had to get in front of it.

Carcillo popped him in the face a couple times with the gloves on. I see it this way, Carcillo came in and took the second Ranger in the scrum. I don't think the fact it was Gaborik had anything to do with it. Carcillo then roughed him up a little, just like he would in any other scrum. Gaborik made the mistake of dropping his gloves against a guy that does that kind of thing for a living. I give him credit for standing up for himself and not expecting someone else to do it for him, but sometimes you just have to take that stuff when you're in that position.

True, there is always a new crop of young enthusiastic guys who want a shot at the title. I wish Kypreos would lose his taste for being on TV, I think that guy sustained some brain damage ;) Can't be any worse than PJ Stock. Did he marry someone's daughter or what?

It's funny that you demand proof yet it's ok for you to throw out speculation that is contrary to popular opinion. If a morning skate is so beneficial, why do coaches often allow players to miss it and cite rest as a reason?

The "we" thing is one of my biggest pet peeves
-
So roughly 9.5 games a month? That doesn't seem bad for a professional hockey player. Granted you get beat up every game. I'm sure there's a few beer leaguers that would love to play 9 games a month. Plus morning skates, plus practices and training camps

And why is this specific to the Penguins? I'm at a loss where the idea of resting star players is coming from. It's specific to the Pens because they have made two consecutive cup runs and have a number of players in the Olympics. The only other team that can say that is the Wings and they have had a ton of injuries this year. A lot of their guys have had some time off to rest. Since the start of the playoffs in 2008 to today, Sid has played 171 regular season and playoff games. If he plays every game the rest of the way, it will be over 200 plus the Olympics. If they make another cup run, it would add another 20 or so games. Add it all up and you're looking at 230 or so games in 24 months or so.

What was your role in blowing it?

How much are you looking to spend and what are you going to use it for? Looking to spend around 15 grand, and it is going to be my daily driver. i'm giving my current car to my girl to use. i was trying to figure out if i wanted a 4x4 or a convertible, so i think i'm just gonna get both: a jeep wrangler. That's the only thing I miss with my FJ Cruiser, the roof doesn't come off. Just avoid the 4 cylinder models, they suck if you need to use the AC.

7/16 or 3/8, depending on how much more bite you want.

They have had two long playoff runs the last two years, that starts to catch up at some point. The number of guys playing in the Olympics isn't going to help there either.

Guy sitting behind me at the Bears game last night was going on about fights all night. Less than five minutes left in a one goal game and numbnuts back there was convinced that guys were going to drop 'em at any second.

Actually, late and in the danger zone is exactly when you should let up.

A couple new ones today: If you're in a museum, you don't need to have your nose touching the glass case. There's also no need to push your way in front of everyone, just to stand there and block their view. In said museum, if you need to send someone a text; stop walking and stand out of the way until you are done. Then continue with your tour. Oh and speaking of pushing your way in front of people; Do you ever plan on looking at those one point something megapixel images you just took with your cell phone? You do know that a flash and a glass case don't work well right? And that there are high quality pics of the same stuff online that are way better than anything you're going to take with the phone you got for free with a two year commitment. Also, please allow me to apologize for swearing like a drunken sailor with tourette syndrome (just loudly enough to make the recording) while you filmed your kids standing in front of every display in the museum. Your selfish and boorish behavior was more than I could stand and I had to respond in kind. Plus it was just easier than beating you and/or your child (and the inevitable security guards).

Why? I'm not trying to be a wise a$$. Whats the difference between the bauer retro gloves, the modsquadhockey bags and shells, jr's custom skates, etc, etc. I thought it was all about a bunch of nuts wanting the latest and best equipment they could find. I understand the no selling rule. I was on a wrist-watch forum and all the online retailers post and it is annoying. So I can see that we wouldn't want a hockeymonkey/hockey giant or ebay sellers posting sales and what not. But the situation with the bauers retro gloves seems to be different. It was a bunch of guys commenting about the bauer retro gloves, everyone wanting a pair, and one guy taking the initiative and placing the order. I don't think he made money on the deal. The gloves were only a little more than retail 4-rolls. A lot less than customs. I know that. And if he did make money, we supported a lhs. I don't know...just my 2 cents. What do I know. You're wrong on just about every point. It's time to drop it and move on.

http://scores.espn.go.com/nhl/boxscore?gameId=300114006 Healthy scratch He's listed as a healthy scratch but he got hurt a couple of games ago. If he isn't healthy they are leaving themselves open to a fine from the league.

Honestly, I have always much preferred king of the hill to the simpsons, south park, family guy .. any of those shows. Its on a whole different level. Its humorous using real life situations, not drawing off potty humor, politics or celebrities like so much stuff out there. It's the most like a "normal" sit-com.

Four pair? I bid on a couple pair but had to run out while it was ending.

Glad to hear it. Any word on damage to their home?

CCM Vector helmet V08 size medium. I've been using this for quite a while in beer league and pickup hockey. Fit - The helmet is more rounded than some other helmets, making it a good fit for me. Fit is similar to some of the older Jofa helmets as well as the HT2, x52 and x92 series helmets from CCM. Obviously this is going to vary from person to person. They do seem to fit bigger than a lot of other helmets, make sure you check your size when buying. The tool-less adjustment is easy and works smoothly, yet doesn't move while playing. 9/10 Ventilation - Air flow seems adequate. I don't get cold in the winter and I don't feel like I'm going to die of heat exhaustion when I play in the summer. 9/10 Protection- This isn't the place to get into the VN vs EPP thing (again) but I feel very comfortable with the protection offered by this helmet. My only concern is that the padding is starting to stiffen up a bit, though that could be from it sitting in my car or closet for extended periods of time in the cold weather. I haven't been able to play much lately due to a (non hockey related) concussion. I do like the fact that it seems to fit deeper and cover more of the base of the skull. 8/10 Weight - I really don't notice it when I'm on the ice, that's about all you can really ask of a helmet. 9/10 Durability - A year+ in and it still looks great. I do use a helmet bag to protect it and the visor (when I have one on) so that does help. Again, my only concern is the slight stiffening of the VN padding. 8/10 Conclusion - Solid all around helmet and an excellent value. Sizing and fit is a little unique, so make sure you try it and don't just buy it blind.
-
I usually used to go between 5/8 and 3/4 depending on the ice and I use 90/75 now

Damn, I've been looking for something in exactly those colors. I don't know how I missed them.
