Best bands that you're not listening to.

The Iliotibial Band - can't ever quite seem to hear it. -
Good to know - thanks for the evaluation.
-
Eh, not quite. It's a different alloy, and the degree of polishing is probably impossible to achieve without serious metallurgical equipment.
-
Yeah, it seems to be catching on around here: people are realising that 10% more of a superior steel is worth the premium. Still not much Velocity at retail, but again, I get the sense that's because team orders are eating a lot of it up. The only one I still can't figure is STEP's RBK goalie blades, which seem to be made of solid platinum, given the price.
-
No Flexlites... grrr...
-
Step just needs to come up with a completely absurd name for their steel... 'Thermablades' being taken, why not 'Wonkablades'?
-
We're way beyond 40 acres now...

And what does it say about this guy that he's worried about us being too worried about our gear? What does that make him, a second-tier jock-sniffer?
-
Eric Weinrich pro-stock. I have to say, despite generally considering visors/cages to be mundane and functional items, that orange is just dead sexy.
-
I'm betting he did - he's got at least three options at that frame, and it looks like he's going upstairs.
-
Did the guy covering you eat your entire team, or just a couple of wingers?
-
Randy in the best possible sense.

Nice rack. I've always preferred metal to the home-made PVC or ABS ones; feels more sterile. Store fixtures are so annoyingly expensive... I was trying to find some simple aluminum T-frames to incorporate into a screenboard for my kid-goalies, and even the most basic stuff from Adco was running $150 a pop. I'm just waiting for some old department store to die in Toronto, and I'll be on that like a vulture. Come on Zellers, don't let me down...

Donate $75 (or $85, can't recall) MSRP of electronic toys to Easton, who in turn passed them on to children in need at Christmas, and Easton would send you an S17 of your choice (up to 2 sticks). First bunch of donations (how many, I don't remember) also got S9 helmets of their choosing. Fantastic idea, and worked out well for the most part, with the exception of some (all?) Canadians.

If by 'bulk' you mean 'add protection', then yes; if you mean 'increase volume' or 'increase weight', it'll be negligible. If it's HD110, you may notice wear on the corners/edges earlier - that stuff has a habit of slicing through even Clarino if it's not carefully sanded down. HD80 and -60 are less apt to do that. I always wanted to see John Brown's Resonator-layers in a player glove...

I still swear by OD blades for any goalie who's had knee or hip problems. I'm OK in that respect, but I know a lot of senior-level goalies for whom they're a major benefit. Joint insurance. The ban was horribly ill-advised - they were still letting Garth Snow staple roofing shingles to his shoulders at the time - and will probably be overturned at some point.

I lived in Glasgow for a year - brings a fond tear to my eye, thinking of a riot in good sport. More pics!
-
Eastern European fans rule... you and the Latvians warm my heart every time. Utter madmen in the best sense.
-
That's awesome, legia. More pics from Poland!
-
They're not the quickest with email - a phone call is always more pleasant and productive.
-
Heh - that's ridiculous depth in a --7 series skate, cbart. Nice order. :) How about materials? It's obviously a G7 build with white leather and a 707 tongue, but what else went into the boot?
-
That is really, really good news - thanks! Someone (I think it was Duke's) was complaining the other day about steel & holder shortages.
-
Do you think you'll start carrying Step in your stores, OTG?
-
That's just the foam-backed grey Clarino - doesn't waterlog any more or less than any other PU leather.
-
Hot - but why didn't you get the white outsole instead of the transparent?
