Well, the head coach for my wife's team asked me to take over the duties for next year. I accepted. He retired from his job and wants to be free to travel with his family. We started our playoffs (they do a tournament weekend) yesterday with me behind the bench as the head coach was in his own playoffs for his league. We won 1-0. Try coaching your wife. I've gotten the "is he pissed at me because I criticized" look from the head coach/assistant coach to my wife being salty on the bench because she doesn't want to take orders from her husband...

That's what I'm saying - less experienced/less qualified ones will try to do that. Those are the shops who aren't willing to work with the skater, or do the "recommended" profile and have 95% of people in the same profile. Seen a lot of that in my 20 years.

So is LS2. And Tuuk C+. But those sets have been profiled for years, if not decades. Sometimes people don't want tall steel. Dealing with a new profile is enough, now throwing in another variable (the height) makes things harder. The more you can control, the better off you'd be. It's an issue that plagues the profiler - the pressure of trying to get it right the first time. You have to be patient with the process.

That’s ok - that’s why I’m here. I almost never forget. My memory/ability to retain information has gotten me very far in this business. :)

Yes, there is. M-E/Blademaster offers it, and it’s a Win 2 with Prosharp.

He said he was on a combo radius, not a single.

That's exactly the problem I'm having with my girls. The other issue is that the opposing team may play loose as well (their defensemen down by the slot) and then creates more confusion with the team, because they thought they had to stay in a certain zone, and don't know how to react when the other team does that.

I'm coaching a women's team here in MI. I haven't coached a team in almost 10 years. It's a tough gig - have some beginners as well as some veterans - the common thread is that they have never played any organized hockey. Some are receptive, the older ones are not. I'm glad you guys are excited about this. Like I said, this is a community; make this space yours! If you guys want subforms or anything for a better structure, just PM me with your ideas.

People already have the skate. Those types of threads on MSH are typically done for product that hasn't hit the market yet. -

Go back 25 years. CCM did it with the Vacutack. -
Been noticing that pictures haven't been posted. With pretty much everyone having a smartphone, it's no excuse to not.

Sparx Skate Sharpener - At home sharpener

No, it isn’t. It does an adequate job. But still, it all goes back to my thoughts on it. -
And the old ones were CurrexSole/Footdisc.

You’d need a template to measure up against. You could trace a freshly-profiled set onto a piece of paper and reference to that. -

I think he says he doesn't have anyone in his area who can maintain profiles. He does live in South Florida. I can see that. -

That's so strange. I honestly think something was lost in translation. Perhaps @CigarScott meant he wanted to send them the positives from the casting? You'd have to send the negatives so that they could pour it themselves. -

@Larry54 - Jeff was referring to True here. -

Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. He's gotta be in his 90s at this point. Jeff - the Incredible Edger was that machine that had a small wheel and the jig was on a ball-bearing track. Was very popular in the figure skating world. http://www.iceskateology.com/Skateology/INCREDIBLE_EDGER_Hoc.html -
