Blackstone Flat-Bottom V Thread
JR Boucicaut replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
yes there is, and if you go on Blackstone's site, it will tell you what dealers do offer it. Let me ask you this - have they been telling you it is Flat-Bottom V what they are doing to your skates? -

They aren't doing FBV...you're getting the Blademaster "version." You're getting X6. -

in the grand scheme of things, yes. The 50 isn't digging into the ice as much as the 75 is. -

To be honest, someone at 314 lb skating on the DEEPEST FBV...and I ask this in the most non-insulting way...you aren't a good skater, are you? Because it sounds like you are on a training wheels hollow (going with deep hollow for stability) Remember, if you weigh a lot, you don't need that much of a hollow. Make the shift to a shallower hollow...every time you get your skates sharpened. Once you feel like you can't make a turn without blowing out, scale back to the previous hollow. But work on your skating and get off that 100/75! -

...or just use electrical tape. Change it weekly if you want. I've had the same magnetic angle for 8 yrs. When I pull the tape off, the original paint is still there, unscored.

Fixed that for you

I'd love to, but I can't afford it. I haven't had a vacation from it all in yrs...all of my trips are MSH or hockey-related. I flew 5 times in the past 5 mos. D wants to go on a cruise in the spring, so we're shopping cruises. The plan is to not even bring a laptop and just be out on the ocean somewhere. No idea where the money is gonna come from. I'm accepting donations...haha
