  1. I still lurk. Just don’t post as much anymore.
  2. It's been a while since I've posted on MSH and am a bit out of the loop on the latest and greatest, but does anyone have any recommendation on where in the Chicagoland area I can get custom skates done? My original custom APXs are on their last legs and I need another pair soon.
  3. An interesting kickstarter for an at home skate sharpener. What do you guys think? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1223281555/sparx-skate-sharpener-pro-skate-sharpening-at-home?ref=video
  4. Bringing this thread back from the dead. Finally made the jump from intermediate pads to senior. Digging the custom-ability of the pad, just gotta get used to the bulk of a senior pad vs. an intermediate.
  5. Yaks for Racks Charity hockey game.
  6. New gloves. Went with a slightly longer Savard cuff to get more protection.
  7. Not mine personally, but they're for a charity hockey game I am putting together. 2x Pink "Yaks for Racks" My Warrior Widows, 4x retail Widows. I big thanks to the ever generous people at Warrior!
  8. Michigan Sale haul. Didn't go as nuts as usual. I had a choice between a large and xl goalie pants, wished I went with a large.
  9. Just playing so hockey at the Joe.
  10. My Zero G goal set is in. Can't wait to give them a go! I got the whole set brand new for $700! Big thanks to Law Goalie for checking out the Zero G pads for me before I bought them.
  11. Just got a new set of Zero G goalie pads & gloves. Had to move my gear collection to a new room.
  12. Not sure, I watched a video from gsbb a couple of weeks ago and just winged it from what I could remember and removing the old lacing.
  13. Put skate laces on my glove. Made the pocket deeper and softer. First time modding my goalie gear. Not too shabby I say.
  14. Only been playing goalie for a month, and I have a set of Brian's H series in the mail. 3 Gloves (P3, P1, 9k) 2 Blockers (P3. 9K) 3 Pads (P3, Revoke PZ, 9K) 1 Kitty
  15. Yah, I moved up with the team. There's a huge gap in talent between d1 and C. Seems like everyone played at least high school hockey at that level. We picked up some more talent, but we're getting smoked every game. It's weird going from winning every game to losing every game.
  16. Custom X60 Goalie Conversion I have freaky wide feet (these are 6.5 EEEE/B), and I didn't want to get custom goalie skates. My custom APX came in and I retired my X60s, so I figured I'd get goalie cowlings on them and use them as goalie skates. Everything worked ok, the boot was a tight squeeze width wise for the boot.
  17. It's a custom skate with a different solid tendon guard. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6020/5996383240_b941b584ba_b.jpg I have two 65 flex xn10 shafts.
  18. Yes, all the gear is mine except for the black goalie mask, which I borrowed til mine came in the mail. I just started playing goal. It's a lot of fun. Can't reallly give an opinion on the Woodrow yet, as it's the only goalie stick I've used.
  19. My gear, a small collection in comparison to many of the guys here. I say it's not hoarding if it's organized and you have the room for it. Excuse the weird angles, had to stitch two photos together to get everything to fit. SUPER HIGH RES LINK
  20. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6017/6012874396_5578768b85_o.jpg 75 Flex versteeg coming my way!
  21. Retail + $75 They're custom built for you, you can get a lot more done. But Just because you can, doesn't mean you should I didn't specify. I believe it is standard.
  22. My custom APX, had them for a couple of weeks, but hadn't had time to take some pics. SPECS: -Size 6 3/8 EEE/B (Down from 6.5EEEE/B in my X60's) -Quarter panels from a size 7.5 skate to accommodate my high volume foot. -Toe caps from a size 9 Flexlite boot. -A few stretches here and there to accommodate my duck feet. -Re-enforced solid tendon (a la Draper) -And the usual double stitched, re-enforced eyelets -Also went up to level 4 stiffness. Had 3 stiffness on the X60's, but they went soft on me pretty quickly.
  23. First taste is free? If that's the case, you can ship me a widow with the versteeg curve.
