  1. If you need anyone to look after your skates during the recovery.... ;) just kidding But seriously have a speedy recovery!!!
  2. Good luck David, fantastic to see where you've gotten too!!!
  3. This was in the CHL junior hockey section, who's hot and who's not: Québec Major Junior Hockey League Hot offensive player: David Perron, Lewiston MAINEiacs The rookie forward has made a name for himself as he prepares to enter the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft. But before the draft, Perron will be competing for one of the hardest trophies to win in sports. Perron's two goals and one assist in Games 3 and 4 of the league finals helped lead his team to their first QMJHL championship and they will now play for the Memorial Cup. congrats, all the best in Vancouver!
  4. The resin may have also degraded the toe cap where you applied it, but damn they look like they've taken some pounding!
  5. I could see those being popular on here, but not particularly in retail. If white retail skates were in such demand surely Graf and CCM would've made their whites available, Nike tried it...i'm not a fan myself, but good find.
  6. Thanks to everyone involved with the scanning of these catalogues.
  7. On the "are you open for skate sharpening today" question it could just be common courtesy some of the time. Sure you prefer them to ask if you are doing sharpenings that day, rather than asking/demanding for them to be done. I know from experience around here that the guys won't sharpen everyday, so I do have to ask cos it could be any day of the week depending when he gets enough to be bothered. Usually once a week at most.
  8. Just wondering, for the pictures with like a million sticks in them, maybe mention which one you're currently using and perhaps which is your favorite of them all?
  9. Awesome, I wanted to do a 8090 conversion but couldn't find my size at the time and settled for the 8000. Very nice!
  10. If it's a skate you are happy using, and you can do it for a saving, yeah i think it's worth doing. I end up spending a little more because i prefer the fit of the bauer ice boot to any of the inlines on offer....so far. Also you have to realise that it is getting harder to find the separate chassis, so if you can put the package together go for it. My skates: Bauer 8000, Sher-wood E frame (aka redstar e-frame), Rinkrat Hotshots 78A + 80A My Bro's skates: Easton 1100, Sherwood E frame (redstar..), Factory z-rated. I had the factorys too, but destroyed them after one game ;) . sorry for poor pic quality, just taken on my phone.
  11. I like the inclusion of two little things in this catalog. First the composite end plugs. Something I thought would have been out before this year, and perhaps better suited to earlier year since the standard shaft length is now that bit longer anyway. Secondly, a nice touch to thank Mark Messier on the last page. For sure he's represented them well over the years. I remember when Mario retired the first time around and Koho took a full page ad in THN to thank him. Just a nice move by TPS. Other thoughts: I like the way the stick line has been consolidated. Adrenaline, Response and the Intrigue each with grip and non grip. Rather than the response, response+ response XN10 and all that malarky. Makes the line up less cluttered and cleaner. The glove lineup looks great, will be trying some of those out for sure... Not seen the pants, they look kinda curious with the kidney protection. I guess the ventilation is good, just looked at forst glimpse not to be that protective. But you can't judge on looks alone. Look forward to some proper evaluations.
  12. Ah ok, that would make it pretty difficult!
  13. The shape of the skate and the pitch holer look really well integrated, no extra space on the footbed. I can see now why previous comments regarding the difficulty of mounting new holders were made. A decent looking skate too. I've had a few ankle issue with skates recently, might give these a whirl.
