I mean the liner that sits between the back of your fingers and the back of the finger padding inside the gloves. I think we're both talking about the same thing though lol. Mine don't slip under but I've had gloves where the padded liner did lift a bit so when putting my hand in the glove initially could cause my finger to catch under the liner. Yup the flex thumb is about 50% mobility as other brands but tbh when holding a stick I actually don't really flex the thumb all that much. It's noticeable when just wearing the gloves and making a fist but when holding a stick I barely notice a difference between lock thumb gloves and even the most mobile flex thumbs. Btw with ur flex thumb, did they remove the thumb loop on the palm or is it there? I ask bc I'm not sure if mine was removed as an oversight or if that's just what they do for flex thumb options.

Yup I got flex thumb. The thing about this was I think for flex thumb they don't give you the loop thumbs that adds even more mobility for some reason. The lock thumb comes with the loop thumbs palm but this didn't. They cost me 280 cdn shipped. They had a 15% off promo for the mth of Sept. It's crazy bc shipping was $55 just from Ontario to BC in Canada which to me is ridiculous. But after the discount the total cost was more or less the same as getting the standard eagle aero pro in store which retail for about 250$ cdn before tax. That said, my next order when they have another sale, I think it will be more expensive since I'll be adding the loop thumbs, double thick backhand pad and finger liners. The standard ones are fairly thin and feel noticeably less cushioning than modern ccm Bauer and warrior gloves. They're still comfortable but I like more plushness. I'll probably also get a diff palm as well. These are just the standard msh3 palms. Probably a good idea to get them to provide me with a complete list of options since the online form is pretty limited, especially with colors.

It was a bit of a guessing game as the colors are totally different when you take pictures of it so it was hard to show them what I wanted. In person they aren't a perfect match but close enough that most people won't notice unless they inspect it and look at it from different angles. In the future, it i have a unique color, I will prob just send them the matching hockey socks so they can compare it to their swatches and threads. For my future order, I will have a lot more custom options added. This was kind of a test run for me. Pretty happy since they were more or less the same price as the retail aero pros you can get.

Just ordered some. They are great. 4 weeks turnaround for me.

No one's going to be able to tell you from looking at a picture. If your son says it feels fine it's most likely fine since he's the one using it. They're all done via a template and yes there can be user error it's unlikely

Except their trigger release mechanism coming

They allegedly fixed this issue with the hzrdus line of skates and their solution to the cat pros is to slap another layer of carbon over the stock shell. Only time will tell if the hzrdus shell is more durable.
-
It's crazy how it doesn't matter if it's the carbon fiber boot or not, but this issue is happening on every retail boot true has made from the tf to the cats.
-
Contact true they sent me a set free a few mths ago. Not sure if they are still doing this. Imo it's pointless. Yes it'll protect the skate a bit but if you get a skate cut it'll still go through and look ugly. But up to u. I ended up removing my second set I put on.

It's a hem job nothing else.

More than before tbh.

Everything these days are lower in quality, and higher in price.

Yup. Agreed. Also, powerfly holders are substantially more expensive too.

What you described about the 910 sounds like my experience with the 710 in terms of the water/moisture retention

Was able to try this helmet on the other day. Sizing wise it fits closer to the 710 in that I'm a medium in both where it's adjusted to about 1/4 from the smallest setting. I tried the small and with it on the biggest setting the length was still a bit too snug but the sides were too narrow. The overall shape however fits more like the 310 where the temple/area where the visor attaches sort of tapers in a bit which isn't super comfy for me. I figure once a visor it installed that area would flare slightly but the 710 has been by far the best fitting and comfortable helmet I've worn so far so it'll be hard to beat. The only issue I have with the 710 is that the glue attaching the liner to the foam degrades pretty quick and I've only had helmet a bit over a year and it is on the heavier side of helmets out there. But at the end of the day fit and comfort over anything else. Kind of a disappointment as I was looking forward to the 720. I also noticed the logos on the 720 are just screened on which made it look kind of cheap.

For those who got pro stocks, is it even the retail equivalent?
-
How low tier are you talking about. My point is with technology these days durability shouldn't be an issue even with top tier sticks. Pros don't use the retail versions us consumers get. So I don't buy the whole performance over durability. Pros need something that is durable as well. Just bc it doesn't cost them anything doesn't mean they want it to break all the time mid game. My point was ccm and Bauer have been able able to make sticks that are decent in terms of durability but True either can't or won't. Seems more like a won't.
-
I actually don't agree. Ops' are way more durable than the days of the Bauer vapor xx lite and Easton synergies. Since the Bauer 1n, Bauer's sticks have been pretty good overall except their gimmick models like the adv agent etc. But their main vapor and nexus lines aren't that bad. Ccms durability has been great. True is trash.
-
Blades getting soft is a sign of the material degrading. It may not be as drastic as a clean break but imo the blade is as good as dead. Obviously this will happen over time like sticks shipping out but if it happens within a couple months that's still a sign of bad durability
-
The important thing for me is that one won't break prematurely and the other will definitely break prematurely and that's enough of a factor for me to stay away from True in general these days.

V08 and 910 fit similar size wise you're right. I wore a small v08 almost maxed out. Same would've been for the 910. Definitely could be the shape but even the size range for the 910 is different than the 710. The 310 temples caved in too much for me and pinched my temples. Personally I'd rather spend the 310 money due to this crazy inflation. I remember getting my 710 a couple years ago and st that time it was 189 cdn. Now it's north of 200, but I digress. I'll just try the 720 in person and see for myself.
-
Damn that's why I didn't like the 910. The sizing was off wear the smallest in medium was still a bit too big and the largest in small felt slightly too tight. The 710 I fit pretty much in the middle of the adjustment. I was hoping the 720 fit the same as the 710. Even the sizing chart for tht 720 is closer to the 710 than the 910 so your experience is surprising. I'll have to try it on for myself in store.
