  1. Are you talking about the offset blades or the bowed shaft? I have a few of those! Picked them up at crappy tire when i was 10ish for $5 each, at the time i was told they were $40 blades. There all right handed gretzky curve, id try them except just that, there right not left. Anyone wanna swap for a lefty? Also, what about those easton skates with the carbon fiber holders? The original airs maybe? I had a pair back in the day, im not sure if they were the ones with the composite holders or not, but i did own airs or z-airs or whatever there called, just dont remember much of them.
  2. Its a 8k 2 peice, wanted to put use to some of the blades i have laying around, mission blade in it. Honestly i love it. I had 15 sticks mid season before i parted with a few of them and the 8k is one of my favorite, the only stick i really liked more was the cnt stealth. Its pretty solid and kicks hard, never used grip before i dont mind it at all.
  3. A couple things i picked up this season, the g9's arnt new i just got longer tongues on them. Everything else is. The stealth i got mid season as a replacement, i used to have a few more. I have many more sticks this is just about 50% of stuff i picked up exclusively this year, im a whore. Oh yeah, i piled all that wood myself.
  4. Are those longer then retail cuffs? Either way, nice score those are beautiful. Ill post up another picture of my skates when i finally get the tongues trimmed on the inside and re-sowed on.
  5. 1995ish? My dad has a similar pair except his have the pumps, come to think of it he has a few pairs of old skates like that. I wore them on the outdoor rink once, your right technology has come a long way.
  6. My dad had a 2004 chev truck for the longest time worked perfect. But yeah, thats why i asked i never heard too many great things about them but i rode in an ss and they seem pretty quick for a bigger car in my price range. I would consider an older one but most of the ones i seen had frame issues or needed body work, plus there made like a truck body on frame arn't they?
  7. Got my money together and im looking at a 2000's Monte Carlo. I have $8000 to spend (sold new fourwheeler), any word on these cars? They reliable? Theres a 2002 Grand Marquis here mint shape barely 100k km on it for 5500 as well.
  8. No, i ordered the tongues online and had them shipped here, came to $62.50. Then my mom sowed them on for me, lol.
  9. If i ever get the tuuks on them ill post a up another pic. White custom+'s i had laying around for my xxx's i never put on.
  10. nice...gonna put tuuks on them? I have a pair of custom+'s right now, i just have to take them to a place who can do it for me. Ive had the skates stock for a season trying to find the tongues and found a real sick pair online not too long ago, still quite a bit of life left in the skates anyways probably do me another season before i get new ones, still probably going to buy a pair off the hockeyshop now in advance.
  11. Finally. Got them off the hockey shop, there not custom just xl on a 10.5 skate. Long enough? Not bad for $62.50 shipped. I dont mind getting a pair on an older pair of skates because my next pair im gonna try n find white pumps too.

    RBK 8K Helmet

RBK 8k: Medium in black w silver inserts Purchased: New around December of 2006 Fit: I have a really big head. I was wearing a nike 004? Nike version of the bauer 4000 anyways and it was just way too tight for my head, especially around the top crown and it was giving me some fit issues. I decided to look at a new helmet and the 8k really struck me as a pretty good fitting helmet. Its pretty wide yet fairly deep and its comfortable all around, its very adjustable as well for people with different size heads with the microdial but Ive heard of people breaking them, however mine never broke. Id have to give it a 9/10 because of the versatility but take a mark off because of the microdial, it was just kind of unnessecary really when you can just push the shell together. Ventilation: The vents on this helmet are pretty big and numerous. Theres two major ones on each side of the reebok logo but also a pair set under the subshell around the edges on the side of the helmet which also actually made a pretty big difference, its a pretty well vented bucket. 9/10 Protection: Its got carbon fiber all around the helmet and full of epp foam, does it really get much better then that? This helmet is top of the line, so expect good protection. I wore it for a season of some pretty rough hockey and rougher helmets and gloves and never had it fly off my head, get a concussion or anything so 10/10. Weight: Very light actually, probably the lightest helmet ive ever worn in my life. 10/10 Durability: Its hard for me to comment on durability because helmets are something that doesnt simply wear that much but i did hear quite a bit about the microdial, a little button on the back of the neck to be turned to adjust the helmet. Its kind of a gimmicky thing really, as it rotates it pulls padded straps on the inside together drawing the shell in. Really any need? Most tool free helmets you just undo the flaps and pull it apart or push it together. Plus there were a great deal of people who had this piece break on the first gen helmets, not sure if they fixed it. I had a first gen helmet black on black 2006 and i never had any problems however. 7/10 Intangibles: Pretty nice looking helmet really, i like the fact that it can fit a great deal of cages and visors and looks fairly well and is well made, still cost quite a bit more then the other helmets at the time. 8/10 Conclusion: A bit more costly then a 5500 or a v10 but still a great helmet, def recommend it if you can stay away from playing with the microdial too much.
  13. Original synergy pro stock from Maxim Kuznetzov, random Russian who breifly played for L.A , plays in the Khl now. Kind of a slight toe wedge, strange blade shape and easily the longest blade ive ever used.
  14. Hurt. Listen to Unkind , its a great song and it was on one of the older nhl games.. actually there a great place to find some good songs from decent bands.
  15. Update Helmets- Ccm vector v10 (oakley visor now), Bauer 5500 black (ccm 480 white cage, white earloops), Bauer 4500 (black ccm 480 cage, black earloops) Gloves - Warrior Franchise, Eagle X-Tremes Skates - White 9k pumps, Graf G9's (old, for odr) Shoulderpads - Farrells Elbow pads - Nike v14 Shinpads - Jofa something, there fairly small i picked them up comparable to my old 8k's but thinner around the bottom Pants - Tackla 9000z air's Sticks - Really too many to list, a few se's broke and 2 new ones, a few prostock momentum comps, 2 cnt stealths, one95
  16. Is that the actor with down syndrome?
  17. Roughly april, dont quote me on that one though . My custom warrior franchise gloves, pro packing with tufftek and carbon combo I recently had my number embroidered into the gloves, i will post ictures later.
  18. Sorry im a bit late, but i just got that now. Puckmugger .. enough said. I dont know how anyone takes his bs seriously .. and the fact that he gets paid for it too.
  19. Bauer Supreme One95 102 flex Gagne Introduction: Im about 5'10 and 185ish, a smaller guy with a pretty heavy shot but would rather stick handle then shoot the puck. Been playing hockey since i could stand, currently play midget aa, playing something higher next season not sure what Aesthetics: In my opinion one of the cleanest and simplest looking stick on the market, a mans stick. Lacking bright colors and gimmicks. Simple and black, lacking a shin finish on the bottom half of the shaft so it can retain its looks. Pretty sick to me. 10/10 Assembly: The stick was right on, all the paint was good and there were no errors or anything really wrong with the stick when i got it 10/10 Weight and Balance: The weight and balance isnt bad at all, its a bit hard coming off some lighter sticks like se's and cnt stealths but for a stick this tough and well made, its defiantly a plus. It might not win any weight competitions but its a pretty solid stick that doesnt weigh a whole lot either. Slightly more blade heavy then most top end eastons however it is quite a bit stronger. 8.5/10 Blade: Fantastic. The stick has great puck feel, something i really appreciate. Its a bit blade heavy, but not bad at all. It lacks the lightness of the easton line but the blades are tanks. I really felt the puck on my blade and i felt as if the blade was a perfect ratio of stiffness. It was stiff enough to get powerful shots off with and soft enough to receive passes, also the lack of finish on the bottom half of the shaft was a plus and makes it a lot less likely to chip and look bad. The blade held up great and is still quite stiff. 10/10 Shaft/Flex: More of a midflex shaft, something i like quite a bit. I felt as if i was getting quite a bit more power out of my slapshots and the stick had great release to it. Despite the fact im using quite a bigger curve on this thing, i could feel the flex of the shaft which was fairly stiff bend in my hands and give me a snappy mid kick release, much prefer a mid kickpoint. Another great feature is the writing at the top which tells you the flex if you cut it at a certain point, very well thought out. The bottom half of the shaft and blade dont have finish on them so your stick doesn't get beat up as easy and the stick has a bumpy edge on it so you can grip the stick, but just on the corners. Great shaft. A pure shooters stick, rock solid. 10/10 Stickhandling and Passing: For a pure shooters stick, it stick handles fairly well too. Its heavier then what im used to but i felt as if it was the only stick i could shoot with after using it for awhile. I always used eastons before which were light and flimsy and took away from my shot, just for the stick handling effect as im a player who loves to deke in traffic but after getting stuck on defense i felt if using this stick improved my shot quite a bit. Not so much my stick handling, but passing was okay. 8/10 Shooting: Unbelievable. Easily the best shooting stick ive ever used. I always had a pretty hard shot but it was hampered by using flimsy low kick sticks with fairly straight blades. I was amazed after trying this stick how much more power i could get out of it. The mid kickpoint really helped my slapshot and wasnt too bad on wristers either, i felt as if i could crank any slapshot i wanted top corner with ease and quite hard. A pure shooters stick. 11/10 Durability: Rock solid. These sticks are well made and made to last. I have yet to hear of anyone having any odd sudden breaks, and mine is still quite solid after using for indoor hockey which seems to be pretty hard on sticks. A few of my friends had them and they last pretty long, solid sticks. 10/10 Performance drop: Its hard for me to comment as i only used the stick for a bit of ice and some indoor hockey but as it stands now the stick is the same as it was new. There are barely any scuffs on it and its as stiff as the day i bought it. 9/10 Conclusion: If you love to shoot, this is your stick. Its got a great feel for the puck without sacrificing shot power and its a solid stick at an agreeable price. You cant go wrong with a one95, which is probably one of my favorite sticks of all time now. Being an ops whore, i must say this is one of the finer sticks on the market. 9.5/10
  20. I dont know if i mentioned this before but i absolutely LOVE The Dropkick Murphys. I would suggest listening to them if you dont mind punk rock, they have an Irish theme to them as well which i also like, it adds flavor to there music.
  21. Jbyun , those gloves are beautiful! You have a pretty classy set up I must say.
  22. New truck today! Well not new, used. But i got a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 to work with and take my fourwheeler place to place, mint condition and a long box. Pretty decent ride, hopefully looking to get a buell motorcycle sometime in the near future.
  23. Introduction: I'm 5'10, 180 but with a pretty heavy shot and i prefer to use 100 flex's cut really short. I bought a 100 flex Iginla, no grip and used it in midget aa. Aesthetics: The stick is actually a pretty pleasant looking stick, nice finish on it and a tasefull design without going too far. I'd have to say for me 9/10 Assembly: The stick seemed very well done, no abnormalities, no small nicks from the factory couldn't have asked for better 10/10 Weight and Balance: Coming off using a cnt stealth, it felt honestly pretty much the same. Blindfolded id have trouble telling the sticks apart except for the shaft shape. Its a very light stick with an even lighter blade, my favorite. 10/10 Blade: The blade wasnt too bad, it had pretty good feel and lasted me about a month before going soft on me. It tended to chip pretty easy though my only big flaw. The cnt blade seemed to last quite a big longer on the stealth. Overall however the blade was a good feeling and shooting blade and lasted in the middle of most of my other sticks/ 7/10 Shaft/Flex: I have, for a long time preferred easton sticks. There flex and feel is unparalleled. The only problem i had was the paint finish, despite looking great after a mere week the stick looked old and battered. Cosmetics aside however, i felt as this was one of the best shafts i have ever used in my life. 11/10 Stickhandling and Passing: I coudlnt ask for more. The blade light stick surprisingly had a very lively feel and a great pop to it, yet was forgiving enough to take hard passes without any major problems. Its a great stick to dangle in traffic with, its light and easy to swing pretty quick and easily one of the easiest sticks to deke with. Stickhandling - 10/10 Passing - 8.5/10 Shooting: This is where a bladelight stick with a fairly low kickpoint is going to suffer. Using a one95 after i noticed a big difference in my shot. However, it seems to be a better balance for feel and balance then the one95 which was fairly blade heavy and i had a bit of trouble in traffic with. Not a shooters stick, but still pretty decent quality. 7/10 Durability: Being the light stick it is, its going to suffer in durability. I got a little more then a month out of my first stick but by that time there was nothing left. The paint was nonexistent, it was chipped up pretty bad and had a minor crack on the blade. Im hard on sticks, but 1 month is kinda lame. 5/10 Performance drop: This is a hard part to monitor, seeing as i broke the stick in a month. Despite the stick being ready to break though, it seemed fairly solid and didnt need replacement. I felt as if the stick had lasted me a few months however it would have been too soft to use. 6/10 Conclusion: I really enjoyed this stick, but if your more concerned about durability then a light stick then i would stay away from this. If you dont mind going through 4 or 5 sticks give or take a few, then this is your stick. Still no cnt stealth though. 8.5/10 (I would give it higher but im sure the durability would effect a lot of other people)
  24. All of those videos are, how can you give the durability of something when the video was posted when they just came out? Its more then less just showing pictures of stuff while some guy reads off hockey monkey's website the features that product has, its pathetic. He is like the puckmugger of youtube.
