  1. I've been saying on the same thing on here for a while now. Once you use Tufftek you won't want to use anything else. It's probably the biggest drug in hockey. Every glove you use after using Tufftek will have to be nylon.
  2. Was this @ 8 rinks? Yup. Gold B to be exact. I hate all of those 'B' rinks at 8 Rinks.
  3. This past Monday: credit to gf for pictures. They're a bit blurry since they were taken behind glass from the second level and they're blown up from another image. I'll probably get her to take some pics with more detail next time she comes to a game.
  4. Are those Z-Airs?
  5. The catalogue shows two S17 sticks... the regular one (blue) and the grip (red)... I've seen players in the NHL (ex. Sami Salo) use a S17 with green graphics. Is that just cosmetic or is there a reason behind it?
  6. Yeah we used to write ridiculous things on our blades, like F**k you and draw pictures of dicks and stuff. It was all good shit I guess you and your friends were a part of the 8% of kids that sit around all day and draw pictures of dicks.
  7. figgifumi_11: You have some really nice gear I must say. The wood colored XXX-Lite is something to envy, any more info on it? I envy your workspace as well!
  8. Is the XXX Lite essentially a painted Maniac?
  9. Where's everybody getting those MSH logos? If you send a bar of gold and a coupon for some poutine to JR, he'll send you some stickers. Either that or you can go to cafepress.com Sorry but do you have a link to the stickers? I went to Cafepress.com and did a search for "ModSquadHockey" and the results I got were for license plate frames, mugs, steins, coasters, teddy bears, a wall clock and a mousepad only. Thanks in advance.
  10. Where's everybody getting those MSH logos?
  11. Evidently you don't as he uses a 10/7 meta flyweight. :P Dammit, you know what I meant. Was thinking about that damn 12/9 bio for sale. ;) I have no idea if JR and I wear the same size, maybe... who knows. 10.5 NBH skate. Large bucket. And now for gear!!!!!! Something special showed up today. Custom Eagle x-72s. WANT. Can you only get X-70/X72's in nylon by going custom? No, go check out Cyclone Taylor Sports on W 49 and Oak. They have some retail nylon X72... they'll run you $200 though.
  12. Stupid question here but I hear some people mentioning "C9" as well as "S9." What's the difference between the two?
  13. Where did you get those S9s? They look too tiny to be NHL Pro Stock?
  14. 15. Repalming is a really labor intensive process.
  16. Judging from the gloves and the stick I'd say they're Trevor Linden's. He uses digital palms.
  17. How long is that Dolomite. From where the tape is, it looks really short. The Dolomite is super short. I have a bad habit of not bending my legs enough when I skate so I use a shorter stick to force myself to get lower to the ice.
  18. CCM HT2 w/ Oakley Pro Aviator Modified, B. Isbister Dolomite, T. Linden Eagle X72
  19. I play once a week, intermediate calibre you could say. The Itech 655 Techlite shoulder pads retail for $99.99 + tax here in Canada. I was shopping around for a pair of shoulder pads that offered abdominal protection. Fit: These are the best fitting shoulder pads I've ever worn. All the individual sections of foam fit very snug and comfortably to your upper body. The abdominal protector is also very good. You cannot feel it while you are on the ice. Some lower priced shoulder I tried on in store were literally stabbing me in the stomach. Not one single part of these shoulder pads get in the way while playing. I do have a problem with getting my jersey over these shoulder pads. It always gets stuck at the shoulder caps. Protection: Before these shoulder pads, I was using a pair of Easton X-Tremes, which were inexpensive but didn't really offer any protection for the abdominal area. These shoulder pads don't leave anything exposed compared to other shoulders. Weight: With such a big pair of shoulder pads, I was expecting these to be bulky and heavy. Weight is definately not a factor with all the High Density Foams incorporated into this product. It feels as light, if not lighter, than my previous pair of shoulder pads but offers twice the protection. Durability: These Itechs have been a tank so far, but I don't think I can give a fair rating for durability quite yet. However, I doubt I will have to buy another set of shoulder pads in the future. Features: The ICEAIR moisture management system in the lining of the shoulder pads have pros and cons. When you first put on the shoulder pads you notice you are getting really warm. My previous pair of shoulder pads kept me cool throughout. However once you start playing, you don't notice this heat from the shoulder pads. At the end of the game the shoulder pads are kept almost bone dry thanks to the ICEAIR. The adjustable bicep seems like a pretty simple, but clever design. I didn't need to use it but it's good for people who have have trouble finding a set of shoulder pads long enough for their arms. The selling point for me was the abdominal protection. As a victim of taking a puck in the stomach, I highly suggest anyone playing hockey to use a set of shoulders with the abdominal protector. I will never go back to my old shoulders after using the Itech 655TL. Conclusion: Get these babies if you're in the market for a great set of shoulders and you can justify spending $100 on them. This is a great product from Itech and it encourages me to look at more of their protective equipment. I just wish it wasn't so hard to put my jersey on. 9/10
  20. Does anybody know why David Perron rolls up his sleeves when he plays?
  21. The majority of one piece sticks are not one piece.
  22. I thought that's only for skates?
  23. Where'd you get the Canuck decals from?
