Ive just read the funny story from Jason of Salming and then i had the idea to start this thread.

Im not a friend of threads like "Whats your fav. <insert random word here>?" but this is kinda interesting and sometimes funny.

So...

Why did you choose your current nickname and does it have a certain meaning ?

Well, Zak, when it came to choosing a name to be a DJ, my brother's "heightened senses" helped out.

When it came to ModSquad, apparently I could have used his help..... :(

some of the guys on my team use to call me tuna. they said it was because i sat at school at lunch and ate a tuna sandwitch. i wasnt a very big fan of the nick name but every thought it was funny <_<.

Then when i started playing defence they called me Scott Stevens, and i dont play anything like Scott Stevens. so i didnt get that one either, but it stuck and every one calls me that.

...I've been called "Boo" since before I was born. When my mom and dad found out that mommy was pregnant, they began refering to me as "The Baby Boo." Eventually, I outgrew the "Baby" part and became simply "Boo."

...Lately I've been getting "O.C." alot. I buzz my head every July at the start of dryland, and I let it grow for the rest of the season. Well, once my hair got longer, I guess my teammates saw a striking resemblance between myself and the actor that played Jack O'Callahan in "Miracle." I'll get that one thrown at me every-so-often, but, for the most part, I'm "Boo." (real name Robert, by the way)

during house season people would call me christmas tree because of my green helmet and our red jerseys

well my high school team changed colors this year from green to orange so now i have a green helmet and orange jerseys and a few kids called me pumpkin

I got Yankee the most this year because I'm playing in Alberta and I'm from New York (Upstate).

And I got Seth a lot too, because I'm supposedly like Seth Cohen off of the O.C. Don't mind that one..

LOL. Broads tell me all the time that I look like a brown haired Seth Cohen. Translation - Broads love hockey hair.

The tendy at open shinny calls me The Machine because I put every shot in the same spot on him, every time. Little hisser over the shoulder with a little sunburn crossbar action. :D

this is also kind of embarassing, but i was called "k.Lo" for grade 7/8 and ocassionally in grade 9, because of some sort of joke that stuck.

"Tank"

Hockey - Power Checking Forward

Golf - I drive the ball avg. 300 yards

Football - Very mean Defensive Tackle

Baseball - Think David Ortiz but righthanded.

At 6'1'' and 205 now, I'll take being called Tank. Better than some of the nick names my buddies have.

my local rep team is called the bruins and my favorite number to have is 88 ,but i usually end up getting 8 ,but as long as i have an 8 im happy because thats my family number and i was born the 8th month on the 28th day in the 8th room ,i was 8 in 1998 and ill be 18 in 2008 so yeah....i like 8

I might be wrong, but I think Zak was referring to people's usernames, not nicknames. Being German and knowing English better than most of us, you have to cut the guy some slack....
