New Mission Stick?

Recommended Posts

It looks like it's got Hex-1 stickers, and I remember that when the Hex-1 was about to be released, Anson Carter had one with L-2 stickers on it. I thinks it's the M-2 replacement.

Yeah, apparently Mission can give a guy any combo of stick and cosmetics that he wants from the current top offerings so red M-2s, white M-1s, etc.

A lot of guys are probably behind on the stick scene because they hadn't talked to a rep in so long, the ST and ST Grips are so plentiful because there was probably a lot of "just get me the new version of what I had before". Off the top of the head Stoll in Edmonton and Briere in Buffalo are using the Stealth while Stajan in Toronto, Guerin in Dallas, Roenick in LA are using the SL. Mission seems about the same as before with Boynton, Boyes, Riberio and other using the Hex 1.

As far as the Wings go, Yzerman, and I think Lilja, are both using stealths.

Carter is using a blue M-2 shaft still. I could of swore I saw him using a Hex-1 when they played Detroit, maybe not though.

I know it is not a ringing endorsement but I think Gonchar uses a stealth grip? He's got the red bladed easton is that the stealth or stealth grip?

Mike Van Ryn of the Florida Panthers was using the Hex-1 through out the preseason, but now that I see him during the regular season, hes been using a White Mission shaft which appears to be tapered.

Let's see if I can answer your questions.

Rafalski is using "a" new Mission shaft, but it's not "the" new M-2. Brian has a non-tapered version of our HEX shaft. Carter, McCauley, and Leopold all have this shaft. They guys will be getting the new M-2 replacement in about 2 weeks. They will still be in HEX colors since we don't have paint and graphics done for the new shaft yet.

Van Ryn uses a long neck, tapered blade (similar to a T-Flex) in a HEX shaft.

Hatcher, Ribeiro, and Elias (when he returns) all use a OPS. Hatcher and Rafalski use a grip version.

Weinrich is also a OPS guy, Brewer uses a shaft and blade.
