New Warrior Mac daddy Ad

Recommended Posts

I personally like it.

Me too! Could have thrown in a couple of 8-balls, nautical stars, dices and all that, though B)

I'm interested in the whole "hockey is traditional" theme and this ad campaign shows up which makes the old Mission campaigns look like fluff. I know I'm older than the average bear on this forum but I've seen alot of stuff come and go. I guess I really am too old for this marketing drive by Warrior. "Pimpin," do we get 'ho's with this stick too?

I wonder if their will be any copyright issues with the "IT'S TIME FOR A BIG MAC, YO"

The stick is a little too flashy for my liking

I'm pretty sure that is what Comrie has been using, at least the color scheme. It doesn't look so bad during 'Yotes games. I guess Warrior is trying to cash in on that new breed of gansta skaters with that ad.

It's probally more your generation who get's the "warriors - come out and play" quote too. I don't know what movie it was from, but my english teacher talked about it last year. Looks like a paradox inside thier advertising.

If i must...

product_4566_front.jpg

Light weight synthetic pimp skin and a pebax skeleton with multi directional lacrosse specific cleat pattern. The asymetrical forefoot spike placement creates better starting, stopping and other movements.

Warrior took the strentgh of a Krypto Pro and combined it with the flex and feel of a carbon composite to create a handle that has one serious split personality!(can you say Cybill)Warrior's new split shaft has unbelievable flex that will have all you crank masters out there drooling. Also features Warrior's G.I. Joe Kung Fu Grip for unreal control and sensitivity.

but in the end, the only thing an ad can't be is average...so it looks like they succeeded..because whether you like it or not..everyone's talking...

A couple people around here saw it and the discussion was;

"Did you see that warrior ad?"

"Is that what that was?" or

"Ugliest ad I've ever seen."

Either one followed by a bunch of laughter and moving on to other topics.

What an INNOVATIVE marketing campaign!

I just needed to be reminded about what I vomited in Cancun during Spring Break.

Or was that what I vomited after those lemon tequila shots in Cancun?

Perhaps it was the red snapper or the RED SNAPPER?

Just maybe it was the cunnilingus + tequila + RED SNAPPER?

Warrior hockey gets 15 minutes in the box for improper use of cunnilingus.

Can I say "cunnilingus" on ModSquadHockey?

I truly hope this is the end of tabloidish stick painting and the beginning of rational stick marketing campaigns. ;)

USAHockey magazine: front cover "Why I Love Hockey" featuring Steve Konowalchuk and his son. Inside front cover: 2 page Warrior ad with its "look." Pages 14,15 Shock Doctor ad with "Play, Girl." centerfold style. Page 26 a story about a Roman Catholic Bishop from Chicago who is a goalie. Mixed messages or what? I run a pro shop, don't have kids to worry about playing hockey(we got rid of the kids, the cats were allergic to the kids), and then I get the same USAHockey magazine as all of us. Do I really care? No, I just find it interesting..........

Yes, the Warrior ad has our attention. Mission ran the same "shlock and awe" style campaign for many years. Sometimes these ads hide problems with the product by selling the hype, as all the vendors do sell the hype, regardless of quality of product. Where does Warrior go from here? They already know. We just have to wait and see.

ah yes the Mission ads..such as the kid squeezing out every last ounce or something like that..

my fave Mission ads were the ones with the players, cool to see kids like Rhett Rhakshani signing letters of intent..

I think that the ad campaign is working.

#1 It seems like people are talking about it.

#2 It will probably appeal to the demographic (12-23)

#3 It makes me feel old and traditional..see #2.
