Somethings ringing in my house...

There's a high pitch ringing noise in my family room and I can't figure out where it's coming from. It's definitely not just my ears :]

I've tried turned off all the electronics in here and it's still going. It sounds like it's coming from my ceiling maybe? My brother heard it too so I know I'm not crazy.

ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY. I can hear it over a loud TV...

I've never had this happen before...Any ideas what it could be?

Did you check your electrical stuff ie a ceiling fan? Try disabling power to that part of the house by flipping the circuit breaker and see if the sound goes away.

I've got a high pitch noise that i downloaded to my phone, sends people nuts trying to figure out what it is, whilst i just sit there laughing. Is there anyone else messing around with ya?

Is it the telephone? You're supposed to pick it up when it makes that ringing noise and it will stop.

I did that with my speakers on my PC i have them near to a phone and it Buzzes and when my speakers are turned off it really annoys me and i need to turn them on to get them Buzzing again lol

update:

the noise has been back for a few days now...but get this - there was a power outage today, and nothing was working...and the noise was still there!
