Just called Easton about a Synergy II blade that developed a crack first time out and the CS person told me that replacement blades are not covered. Since I've received an L-2 warranty replacement in the past, I'm wondering if Easton has a different policy than Mission or the person I got on the phone was wrong.

i could be wrong but i think shafts are covered by warranty only if it has an easton blade in it, but i dont think blades are covered. go to there website and look up the policy.

Easton blades are NOT covered and do not have to be replaced. I don't know why they'd replace your Z-carbon. Only shafts and OPS' are under stick warranty.

Most customer service reps are the same. Nice people for the most part. Don't call demanding something and treat them like a person. Most of them will do everything they can for you when you are polite rather than demanding. At a previous job, my office was in the same building as the customer service department. They are treated like crap in general by companies as they are very expendable. When you are nice to them, they will usually do everything in their power to make you happy since that is essentially their job. Just my 2 cents

Who pissed in your corn flakes this morning? He made a valid point. Good manners aren't just used by your mom. They are used by adults.

Settle down, Beavis, you'll soil yourself.

I think in all my dealings with customer service folks I know full well how to treat folks with respect and politeness. I don't need the Ms. Manners lecture on a simple question of whether or not something is covered by a warranty.

Maybe you should take a breath and try the decaf before reading posts then. It didn't sound like a lecture to me. It isn't like he was accusing you of being rude to customer service reps or anything like that. It's a discussion forum. He was discussing the topic. Sheesh.

i have only seen easton replace a few broken blades for customers if they broke in a few times use. personally i think half the stuff they warranty shouldnt be warrantied being is says against manufacters defect. ive seen alot where people just rip slapshot after slapshot and snap them which i dont think is manufacter defect.

Good point.

Although no matter how I lose $45 I'm still pissed (then again 2 lap dances are sometimes a good waste of $40  )

$45?

Well up here in canada you'd be out something around $85-90.

Damn companies knowing us canadians bleed hockey. <_<

Actually, the point of my comment in the discussion was this.

Most Customer service reps are treated like absolute crap by their employers. About 90% of them hate the people they work for and if you treat them with respect and make their job pleasant, they will usually not pay attention to the rules and give you what you desire.
