I seem to be having a bit of an issue on these that are just starting to pop up after about a month of use. Now that I'm getting used to them I can only assume I have become more aggressive on my maneuvering. Now when pushing off, especially while coming off a turn, when i finish off the kick and end up on the front two wheels it seems that the wheel or frame are flexing enough that it causes the wheels to hitch up and dump me on my face and/or ass. Anyone else had this or have any suggestions?

I was originally using some grey rinkrats (forget the hardness) that I thought may just have gone bad in front so i replaced the fronts with some harder red stars but it doesn't seem to have fixed the issue

I had the same problem with mine, the arm was broken which was causing the wheels to go to far forward when I was leaning and hit the toe of my skate. I noticed it and ordered a new arm. Tried to skate on in while waiting for the new arm to come in and the whole front arm ended up breaking off.

After removing the arms they did indeed crack where the bolt connects the two arms together. I've sent an email in to sprung to see what can be done. Thanks for the info

I had a similar problem with my sprungs. The wheels were rubbing allot on the sides and speed was cut in half. However, once the right spacers were put in there was never an issue again.

Anyone have a better way to get in contact with sprung? Sent a message into the sales email listed on their site (only email I could find) yesterday and did not receive a response for warranty work as well as to purchase spare arms for my skates.

I returned you email at 8:07 this morning. So what's up?

"Hey Jeremy, I need your address and I'll send you stuff tomorrow.

They both cracked at the connection point where the bolt joins the two arms together on the thicker, angled part if that makes any sense. I can possibly send pictures if you need them. What do I do to have them replaced under warranty?

I have heard they can be carved out of old wheels with 85a hardness or so - somebody in germany will have do this. I don't know if it is true? Andreas, the german sprung distributor talk this to me.

anyone have any ideas on how to make the plastic springs on the sprungs stiffer?i want a little less flex.

I could be wrong, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the chassis in the first place?

Drill a 1/8" hole threw the shock and push in a solid roll pin that is cut to length. Probably kills warranty .

The warranty is fine with that. It's how I used to do it when I was making prototype springs from wheels. It does, however, frown on chopping wheels and sticking pieces in there.

Another way to get more resistance is to add more pre-load, by wrapping the springs in two layers of typing paper. They will be Tight to get in, but it should add some more pop. ;)

Well I played my first "real" game on my new Sprungs. I think it will take me a little to get used to the response they give. I almost fell on my butt a few times. Now I see this as a good thing. I felt a little off balance a few times, but I'm sure I will be better in a few more skates. The best was the beauty of a check I put on a guy on accident. I was skating hard to the corner after a defenseman and went to pull up quick to poke check ( this is a non check league). My front two wheels bit hard and I literally stopped on a dime. Not much of a slide at all. My forward momentum carried me right into the guy and leveled him. I didn't feel to bad as he was a cheap player to begin with, but I sat my two minutes and had a good laugh. Guess I'm going to have to re-adjust for skates that actually stop when I want them to. Thought I'd share my experience. A+ rating to the Sprungster. Looking forward to tonights game.

might have been discussed but I can't seem to find it - what's the difference between A6 & A8?

A6 = all 76mm

A8 = all 80mm (only comes in large size)

chalk one up for another satisfied sprung user. Used them tonight for the first time in practice, they felt Great! I was a little sluggish, but that is mainly due to the fact that I haven't played roller all summer.

Love all the info in this thread - keep up the good work, Sprungster.

I was looking to maybe get the Torpso/Sprung package deal here, http://www.sprung-inline.com/shop.htm, but I've seen conflicting information for how Torpso's fit. Some say they fit like Bauers, some say normal shoe size, and then some say it's based off Kor's mold which would be somewhere between the two.

I've been wearing 10.5D in RBK 6K for roller and 11.0D in Kor Shift 1's (though they're a little tight) for ice. What would you all recommend for Torpso 221's for them to fit similar to a 10.5D RBK? Thanks!
