Pro stock mission blades

Recommended Posts

I'd just like to let you guys know that I was having some issues with my blades wear and tear on the bottom of the blades. These are the "big toe curve" that doesn't have a finish on it. I just put a thin layer of epoxy on the whole blade in hopes of solving this issue. I'll update anyone on the status because I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue.

It worked out well, I love the blades! I actually just bought another one of these mission blades(not the toe curve) from a user here. But I've been using OPSs for the past few months. Occasionally I do use the flyweight with the big toe curve but the allure of the OPS has been too much for me.

I ordered 8 today, yes 8. First I planned on ordering 4 to go with my shafts, then noticed that 4 tapered wood blades were $20, so I got 4 of those. I ended up with 4 Horcoff tapered wood blades, 2 Elias tapered composite blades, 1 Gaborik tapered composite blade, and 1 Federov standard composite. Went by the curve descriptions (probably wasn't a good idea) and picked up mostly open mid-toe curves. Hopefully I'll like the curves!

I have a horcoff. It's a really wide blade and about an inch shorter then standard blades. Nice blade actually.

I wish they had the satan in tapered... and for some reason I want to try the hull... even though last time I had one in my hands I just shook my head and put it back in the box until I eventually sold it.

Anyone near hawk care to find me some big toe curves? :D

They didn't have that many in store, maybe 5 at most of the RBK/CCM/Koho pro blades they listed. They had like three or four of the Mission pro blades.

Anybody know if any of the LH mid-toe or toe curves (comp or wood) have a 5 lie? I'm guessing there isn't a way to find out. :(

What lie is this lang, would you think? I'm terrible at guessing. It's basically an open slight heel. I remember his blade being more Hull like in the toe, but that pic looks good.

I think I'm going to get 2 wood and a comp. might just have to pick up a new tapered shaft. Anyone got a 77flex NBH? XXX shaft or cut ops :D

Yeah, I just busted out some Law of Cosine and figured it out.

Looks like I'm in for a Lang for sure, possibly a 266 and a Deadmarsh.

Unless someone can chime in with a 6 lie drury.
