Busch sticks have long since been known for being exremely durable. However, the Laser is something like 500 grams and the Gold Line was something like 550 grams (just off the top of my head - so figures might be off) so they have fallen out of favor with the folks who have been swayed by the movement for lightness.

Also, Busch sticks don't have a real taper to their sticks (they are tapered down low where the blade is fused in with the shaft during the manufacturing process, but I wouldn't exactly call it a taper to write home about).

I've been using a TPS R2XN10 shaft for more than two years. It's widely considered to be one of the least durable sticks in recent years. It just goes to show that who uses a stick is every bit as important as what stick they use.

I don't see how ANYONE can claim the XXXlite is the most durable anything.

TPS sticks, just about all of them seem incredibly durable. My old redlite CS2 looks like it's been to hell and back but damned if it isn't still as solid as when it left the sales floor.

Agreed- I had a gold Easton Synergy grip that lasted forever and am currently using a CCM 10.0 from last year that is still going strong.

My Ak has been going strong for quite a while now, best I've had so far. Still looks great too, hardly any scratches.

Like the post above me. I will toss in my vote for the midrange ccm sticks. Bauer Endures are tanks too.

OPS and durable should not be used in the same sentence.

Go tapered. Comparable performance with the ability to change blades.

Easton T-Flex.

I have a ccm 120v thats a tank.

I had a v120c that broke when I was taking a backhand... a freaking backhand.

But from what I hear the v120 shaft was incredibly durable(I must have just taken a bad slash), but the blade on the 110 and 120 sucked. The early edition v130s were horrible, but they fixed it in time to call it the 8.0

P.S. I hate my '07 8.0 OPS. The blade sucks.

Chadd is exactly right on. I used a Kovalchuk pro 1100 for 3 years...I bought it summer 2004 & it just broke a couple weeks ago. And actually...the blade cracked in half right in the middle...not even a full break. I didn't notice the crack until I took the tape off.

The first 1.5 years I played roller...the second 1.5 years I played ice.

As far as a vote goes...Mine would have to be for the Inno 1100 fused.

Durable...not to mention the exceptional feel & very well balanced...and of course...light...302g shaft weight...138g blade weight...around 440g total.

But to go along with Chadd's comment...hacky, choppy players definitely will wear out sticks faster. Nothing against those types of players...but common sense tells you that if you're very hard on your sticks...it really doesn't matter what brand you buy.

I've never broken a shaft on a stick I bought new...and I've only broken 1 shaft that I got for $10 from a buddy. It was an Easton E-Flex...those things were practically broken off the shelf...

What I love about the 1100 fused is the blade is freakin' durable as hell too...

Out of those, the ST by a mile. If you are really concerned about durability, though, just go shaft+blade, tapered.

Like Chadd said, though, it depends what kind of guy you are. If you break a lot of sticks, stay away from OPS (unless you're okay with shelling out a lot of cash), and if you're easy on them, you can stay with the one-piece.

I was kinda happy someone did this topic but im a little mad in the stick selections--- a XXXlite? hell no but every sticks durable its just if you get the luck of the good ones made or the bad ones-- i had my ST for like 4 months and then i got another and it broke within 2 weeks--it all depends on how good each one is made--each stick isnt made to last the same no matter what brand.

Not a OPS but the Easton ST blade is ridiculously durable. Used it for probably 40+ games and it only has a little bit of paint chipping off. My Vapor XX blade was chipped and cracked to hell by 20 games.

I´m not the most heavy or hard shooting player in here, but I have broke one Synergy ST-blade.

Two Vapor XXX-blades, one One90-blade...Now I got a Stealth CNT, and I hope the blade will last for a couple of month, but thats not much to hope for.... :)

I find that the stealth CNT blades don't break but they do go soft soon. I have yet to break a stealth CNT blade yet but I've had to stop using them becasue the blades got too soft quickly and were affecting my shooting and such.
