JR Boucicaut 3801 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 Because we encourage you guys to buy from local stores. Plus, why give them a free plug? My chain has an online store - you don't see me plugging them, do you?
stevoc 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 Now, back to our program... ;) I have bought tons from hockey giant with no problems what so ever. Even returned things with no issues.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 I try to avoid dealing with the online guys as much as possible but I have ordered from Giant a few times and never had a problem.
sc37 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 No problems here either...no issues except for the realllly inefficient shipping due to their many stores. I recently ordered 6 items...and it all came in 5 seperate packages.

My chain has an online store - you don't see me plugging them, do you?Quite the contrary-I would be happy to order from you-what is your website. My lhs in lancaster is great-good selection/great guys etc.-they don't always have my size or what I am looking for-not their fault-I understand from a business perspective. By the way-I am in favor of supporting the local guy. I used to be in business for myself-please dont jump to conclusions.thanks

I recently ordered 6 items...and it all came in 5 seperate packages. That's how it is with us as well. If a store doesn't have all of the items on the ticket, it will be backordered within the company until every store fulfills the order.
saba 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 Had one problem ordering a rbk practice jersey for $59. No movement on the order for 1 week, call placed rep tells me they dont actually have the jersey must be ordered from NY, get to Giant then they ship. I was like can you just have NYC ship directly to Wash DC? Guy was like no. Delivery time was 2-4 weeks none of this was mentioned on the specials page. Order cancelled. Other than sending me wrong hardness or wrong size wheel once or 2x, no problemsPrefer the guys at epuck
Patrick67 1 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 I lost the eletronic (email) invoice from a hockeygiant order, bought Mission 7500 inline pants that trashed within the first game I used them, and asked them to re-send it to me. Figured they have the invoice on file, so I gave them the info regarding purchase date, product, recepient etc...Usually they are pretty quick to respond by email, but all my emails (sent 3 different emails regarding the problem to 2 different hockeygiant email adresses) have been ignored, they have responded since then regarding other stuff, but when I mention the word invoice.... completely silence.... :-(((( :-@@@@@
Monty22 833 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 I've ordered from them maybe 6-7 times the last few years. I've had 2 problems- The first was a pair of gloves I received had been used, and apparently returned to the store and sent to me. The second was a warm up jacket, I think Bauer, that turned out to be a women's coat. Of course, it was not marked as such on the site. Returns were easy and they made it right. Philbrick's is a good online retailer- I've had good luck with them as well.
The Stranger 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 No problems here either...no issues except for the realllly inefficient shipping due to their many stores. I recently ordered 6 items...and it all came in 5 seperate packages.I especially liked the BOX they used for my 1 set of laces. :P I only ever buy closeout items from them and haven't really had any serious problems, though given the option I would rather order somewhere else. At least they rank above HockeyMonkey since they have a real time inventory and don't take 2 days to even look at your order.

The realtime inventory is why you received things from multiple locations. They will send orders to the shop that has whatever in stock... they have 4 possible different sites for stuff to come from, at least it was 4 back when I was still there. They might have more now. Just kinda funny and can def see why they charge freaking $11 for shipping.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted June 30, 2007 At work we'll get a box that is 12 X 10 X 5 that only has one UA heatgear t-shirt. It makes no sense to me but companies do it.
Sghockey21 1 Report post Posted July 1, 2007 I have the same complaint with HockeyGiant. The boxes they ship some of their stuff in is just way too big! Other than that, I love their clearance and weekly specials sections. Never had a problem with orders.
Scorpion 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 Does anybody know if they ship Bauer/Nike products to Germany? I sended them a mail but i got no response.
nummer55 10 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 Unfortunately, manufacturer policies prohibit us from shipping products from NikeBauer, The Hockey Company (CCM, Koho, Jofa, RBK), and Easton outside of the United StatesMaybe you check the 'help' section of the website. Besides that, Germany has some excellent shops, both online and 'offline', so why would you order from HockeyGiant?
Scorpion 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 Because some things are much cheaper. i work in a hockey store in germany and so i knew the retailer prices. Some products are so much cheaper in the US then a hockey store in germany buys them from the retailer.
