Doctor Hook 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 What do you all do for lunch during a typical weekday at work / school? Being a working man, I bring my lunch in a reusable insulated bag with cold pack to keep shiznit chilled. I'll usually rock a turkey or ham and cheese sub, chips, granola bar, fruits, water, dried cranberries (I like to snack healthy). I don't like lunch to be too heavy, otherwise the rest of the day I'm useless.
Hockeyman9621 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 Unless I have good lunch meat in my fridge, I usually go to Tim Horton's for a sandwich, sometimes Subway but it's about an extra 8-10 minutes from the house we're working on right now. I always bring fruit or a vegetable to eat during break.
RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 I should bring more than I do. When I think ahead and make something for supper and have leftover for lunch the next day I do....but I buy most days. Food court at the Mall is great. Lots of options.

Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 I buy at school, but bring to work. Usually a sandwich, 2-3 cookies, water and 2-3 pieces or fruit. We have a "Snack" around 1030, then lunch at 12, then snack at 3:30. At least there's lots of designated eating time when I work at the camp.
M-Cohen 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 Bring a lunch, for several reasons.I save about $3,000 on lunch/snack.It's healthier.Almost always more delicious. I really like sandwiches, so I'll make two sandwiches heaping with meat and cheese. And then snacks over the day. It's just easier to do.P.S. This is for school, during the school year. precursor 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 On Sunday nights I will usually make up a bunch of chicken and rice. I then separate it into those little gladware tupperware things and put them in the fridge. Then, I take one of those to work, along with some fresh fruit and yogurt. If I could only break this Tim Hortons habit that I have, life would be ok ;)
Ngo_35 1 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 At school I bring a lunch. Always good to save money. At the shop, I eat sharpening dust. Having 1 person working sucks since it gets busy and you know, we gotta watch all your backs right?
trevor13478 1 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 my school cafateria is open all day so you can just go grab a bagel or a drink, cereal etc. you pay a set amount at the beggining of the year with tuition (prep school) so you can eat as much as you want. Durring the summer, i work for my dad (my family owns a grocery store) so i can eat anything i want, it's a pretty sweet deal.

jcp2 2 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 I pack a simple lunch. Sandwich, can of pop, sometimes a snack. I don't take an official lunch break or lunch hour, and sometimes I eat on the fly. The more I get done in a day, the better.

forbs02 20 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 I usually pack my lunch. I ate out pretty consistantly for a couple of years and I started to put on weight and feel like crap. Since I've cut a lot of that fast food out and started packing lunch I've lost some weight, I feel a lot better, and I've saved a lot of cash. Packing lunch is definately the way to go. Powerfibers 8 Report post Posted July 19, 2007 I pack a lunch every day to bring to school. When we have teachers' inservices, I buy. Saves a lot of money not paying everyday. If I forget, I buy what the kids are having. If you have access to a fridge buy some cold cuts and bread. It saves a lot of hassle just making a sandwich when you want one.
