The paint job and coloring on his stick is a huge turn off to me. I'm stunned they painted it crap color brown. Warrior is going too far with the funny colors and objectionable names. It's just in such poor taste, it's even obvious to me and I'm not the most tactful person of all time...

Can anyone tell the lie of Savard's blade from that picture? there's a pro stock Savard dolomite at my LHS that I just looked at quickly and I'm probably gonna get. for $75 even I end up not liking I think its worth a try but I just want to know, I did like the look of the curve though.

after using OPS for a lonnngg time now, i think im going to switch back to shafts, and this 1 looks pretty good, and the price definately helps...

so since its been a long time for me with shafts, i have a few noob questions to ask:

Do all standard shafts fit all standard blades?

Do all tapered shafts fit all tapered blades?

Any exceptions?

Yes, as long as you're talking senior or junior exclusively. Intermediates usually take senior, some take junior, and some oddballs take intermediate.

The precision of the fit is another matter. Most likely you'll be fine, but the odd blade will need a layer of tape on the tenon to snug up the fit, or a bit sanded off to avoid breaking the walls of the shaft. My LHS will insert and remove blades/plugs for free, and any should do it for you if you buy the blade/shaft from them.

If it takes more muscle than just pushing them together in your hands, it's either not hot enough or not a good fit- you should never pound in a blade/extension or put the end of the shaft on the ground and use your weight to drive them together.
