Interesting that people are ripping a guy who has scored over 600 goals in the NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE. He's a first ballot Hall of Famer yet some here are going nuts on him. I think he's earned enough respect in his career that we can take him at his word when he says his sticks are off.

He gets ripped on for being a little bitchy from time to time but I think its hilarious. I really think that he is publically kind of bitching at RBK so that they just end up making him the stick that he wants. Is it possible for him to switch brands to get a stick correctly made for him?

I feel for Jags. I despise non-grip sticks. However, two of the sticks I currently use are non-grips. I just candy cane them with white cloth tape. Does the trick pretty well. I took the tape off of one of them for about half a period and I couldn't shoot worth a sh#%. What I don't understand is...why doesn't RBK just coat the stick with a grip coating for him. Doesn't make any sense to me that a major manufacturer can't make a stick grippy enough.

First one that I remember, not sure if it'd even count, is the Easton A/C 7100 in about '92 or so. After that there was the Easton Torque ('94?) and then the next year the T-Flex graphite and Ultra Lites came out.

God. He should just talk to mission.. Didn't they bend over backwards to make hull exactly what he used from easton? Granted, it didn't turn out well, but they tried to appease him. He should just give them a hyper k or a torpedo or whatever he last used and have them have a go at it. Given the state of their stick sales going from what I've seen they would probably build him corebeam 9s or abs caps if he agreed to use a mission branded stick...

great example with shanahan, he got used to a 100% composite stick from a aluminum rod with a piece of wood attached, a hi tech top of the line skates from an old sloppy leather boot attached to a cheap plastic outsole, and he seems to be doing just fine, but jagr cant adjust to a slight grip change? sounds like a crock of shit to me, maybe he needs to grow the hockey flow/mullet back?
