Boston has them too...they even have a section on bruins.nhl.com...

The Tampa ones I have seen up close and probably will again tonight and man, up close they are busted. I am also calling chlamydia on a few of them as they look dirty...but hey nothing a shot of penicillin can't get rid of :)

a bunch of the islander ones live around my town and they are totally different off the ice

Like...they don't wear skates and goofy uniforms? Madness.

If you only knew who the Easton rep there is and who he used to work for, you'd know the connection.

Also, he's got a pretty unique side job that I have no doubts gets him laid EVERY home game!

I guess Easton sponsors the Dallas sTArs girls.

Side Job? Whats he do? Or should I ask him next time I play him?

The funny thing is those "hideously ugly" girls still wouldn't give most of you guys a shot.

haha I totally agree with you on that one, and in all honesty those girls are quite attractive and I bet if you saw them in a bar or out somewhere you guys would stop and stare and check them out.....I know I would if I didn't have a girlfriend.......had to throw that in just in case she gets on my computer and decides to check out what I do on my computer :P

Sorry for the rant, but the existance of this thread is (mostly) kind of a bummer. I know that a lot of people who posted are highschool/college, but you're old enough to have a little more respect for women/girls/females. Quit treating people like they're only worthwhile if they are "hot" (however you want to qualify that). They're doing a job that they get paid for, that most likely pays way better than similiar jobs at the arenas. Calling out the dancing skills is fine, but ripping on them because they don't meet some weird standard for looks is pretty lame.

If that same standard applied both ways, in every nhl thread you should be posting how ugly almost every single player in the nhl is, and how you'd nod at them, but never hang out with them or anything, because they're all busted.

I think garbage like ice girls or whatever they're called just presents the game in a more low-brow fashion than it already is. The general public always thinks first about fighting and dangerous plays; I think teams can find a better way than stooping to this. (yeah, football does it, but it's dumb there too, but at least has a history)

And yes, we'll all acknowlege that it will be hilarious when you call me fag. Good one.

start today....you fag lol I'm just messin man....but really are these girls that big of a problem for you? and if they are then why? who cares men like a little eye candy now and then and I'm pretty sure all men have there standards so who cares if guys on here are calling these girls ugly, so what if they do, it's their opinion....and when do these girls come out in between periods? cause if thats the only time most people are out of their seats getting a beer lol

With very busted looking noses, IMHO. Seems like a bunch of dancing with the stars/the bachelor rejects. BTW, I'm a hardcore lightning fan saying that.

start_today...I'll guarantee you these girls don't get paid jack shit, if anything at all. The cheerleaders of NFL squads, at least the Bucs anyways (and they are all very hot) don't get paid shit. So why would hockey, a sport suffering financially, pay a cheerleading staff if the NFL doesn't? And I know this because a couple of the Bucs cheerleaders go to USF with a friend I work with, and because one of them worked at a restaurant I valet at. Everything else you said I can agree with...I'm just talking shit and messing around in this thread for the most part, though you just made it SEMI serious

Edit: most of them do it to get noticed by modeling companies etc.

The other side of this is the women who dig hockey players. My wife loves Patrick Roy's eyes and Doug Gilmour's rugged look. Your girlfriend at the game is checking out Crosby and the rest of the Young Guns.
