Just a little announcement.

I'm only about 50/50 to make it to the caps sale. I've had several requests to pick up gear, but because I'm not sure I can make it,will be having someone pick up my stuff if needs be, so won't be taking orders.

Sorry folks,

Cheers

The St. Louis Blues had their equipment sale during thier Hockey Fest last weekend. I went Friday afternoon and there was a good selection of sticks, gloves, shafts, blades, pants, helmets and skates. I picked up a Vapor X shaft (Pronger) for $20. I should have bought more stuff but gotta watch the hockey budget.

One cool thing I saw was a pair of custom gloves for Pronger. These things were huge! They had 6 or 8 inch cuffs and inside the cuff was a 1 inch thick pad and plastic plate to cover the top of the arm. They would have been cool to have just as a conversation piece!

I am scheduled to go to the Caps sale as of right now. If you have requests PM me ONLY (no need to clog this thread) and I will create a nice little spread sheet for what is requested. Forget OV and Semin stuff, and the stick rack was north of insane last year. Also the lids were picked over pretty good from the early morning group, so request accordingly

The Detroit Red Wings will hold a merchandise super sale from 10:00am – 5:00pm Saturday, June 28th at Joe Louis Arena. Items available for purchase include Stanley Cup Championship merchandise, Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers game-worn jerseys and equipment and a variety of authentic autographed items. Additionally, select merchandise will be offered at a discount.

Throughout the sale, Detroit Red Wings equipment manager Paul Boyer will be on-hand to answer questions. Guests are asked to enter Joe Louis through the Olympia Club street-level entrance directly across from the Riverfront parking lot (complimentary).

Maybe a dumb question but do the Thrashers have a sale and if so when?

Thrashers sale is usually at the STH event before the first regular season game and has been disappointing the last few years. it seems like most of the stuff they're selling is more for people to hang on their walls rather than actually put to use. the Thrashers haven't had a good sale since the lockout year. TONS of great stuff then.

you just missed the ECHL Gladiators sale on 6/18. I got 2 pairs of brand new, tags attached CCM 1052 pants for $45 each. :)

You don't say?

Highly, HIGHLY doubt every Thrashers STH plays hockey. :)

maybe not but the last time they REALLY had a sale and invited everybody (not just STH's) it was a complete madhouse.

I'm just saying that these sales are geared towards those wanting memorabilia, not necessarily hockey players, especially in a small hockey market.

kovalchuk71:

I don't think there was any Perron gear at the Blues sale. Most of the stuff was from Pronger (sticks and gloves) and Ruchinsky (a ton of all-wood Sherwood sticks). There were gloves from current players like Brewer and Walker.

If anyone's going to the Detroit sale and picks up an extra pair of Easton 4-rolls, let me know.

Sorry to ask this, but does anyone know what the Hurricanes do with their gear at the end of the year? Sale? Dump it at a store or what? There are a few pairs of Canes gloves I would absolutely love to get my hands on.
