Pro Equipment Sales

Recommended Posts

Friday and Saturday are general public days. Those times on Thursday are for Sharkpak holders. I'd bet you Season Ticket holders get in there earlier too.

I just called the Sharks and was told this:

June 23rd: Suite Owners and Corporate Partners from 12 PM-7 PM

June 24th: Season Ticket Holders 10 AM-2 PM, 10 game pack (and other partial game packs) from 2 PM-7 PM

June 25th: Group leaders 10 AM-6 PM

June 26th: Public 9 AM-12 PM

Some guy on the Sharks' official forum. Does that mean only the 26th for general public? :( What the heck are 'group leaders'?

Don't know about the Sharks specifically, but a lot of places those are individuals that rent out boxes/rooms for groups, for one or more games.

Sorry to take it even more off topic. But how flexible?? Like the micro nash on retail warriors?

their kinda like a grippy msh without the nice durability part, check out the x:60 pro glove if you want a visual of it

What exactly are you looking for?

Helmets: Not sold for liability reasons. Out of all the sales I've been to I've seen one helmet that wasn't even supposed to be there

Protective: Most are really beat up and stink, you might encounter a few pieces that are brand new but in a really large size like 17" shin pads

Gloves: If you're not in the sale within the first 30minutes don't expect to find any brand new pairs unless you're looking for Reebok gloves with "Canucks" on the cuff.

Sticks: There will be no stick limit this year. If you are not in the sale within the first 30mins don't expect to get a stick, used or new

Pants: Similar to protective, might find one or two items in a really large size brand new. Lots of ripped, stained, heavily used pants to be had

Skates: There are a few barely used or new pairs if you're size 10+. I've seen a couple that had boxes a few sales back that didn't even have the holders mounted yet. Majority of skates are real beat up or prehistoric. I've seen the same Microns for years.

Socks: Haven't seen a pair of Edge socks, one color knit socks go for $10

Goalie Gear: At the last sale they had quite a bit of stuff including Luongo, Sanford, Labarbera, Ellis, Hedberg. Everything was gone except for Hedberg's pads.

IMO the only things worth buying are sticks and gloves, all the other gear is either too expensive or too beat. Don't expect to find any Kesler, Burrows or Hodgson gear either because I'm sure Game Day Auctions will try to snag them all up again.

Sounds pretty decent. It's on father's day so hopefully I can swing by early. What time would you suggest getting there (I know you said 30 mins but with lines I want to play it safe)

Well apparently, sth's get in at 9. I was told there are people who camp out, but their just collectors. I'd get there as early as possible. It wouldn't hurt to try and compile a "shopping list". Then of course, if there's some great stuff you can't pass up on just go for it. I'm looking for, shoulder pads, elbow pads, an easton or bauer stick, warrior or bauer 4-roll gloves and a pants shell. I'm gonna try and run in there, grab all the stuff I need, look for some deals. Then I gotta pay, run out and then go for my game at 10:45. It'll be epic.

And other people who usually go. I'm gonna bring 200 or 300 dollars. Does that sound good for my list?

the deals there were unreal if you liked reebok gear and didn't care it was navy blue. I've heard from a few people that the left overs are headed to Play it again in pineville

Doors open at 9am for Seasons... I've heard that some STHs start lining up at 6am or earlier. It's always fun to see people run from the entrance to where the sticks are (all the way at the other end.) It's like watching the running of the bulls.

Any one going to the Devils equipment sale? I'm going with three friends that I'm trying to get to play hockey. They are already fans of the sport.

How expensive are the sticks or gloves usually? Think they'll sell Jerseys?

The practice rink the Devils play on, ice Pavilion, is open for public skating. Think they'll have skate rental?

I plan on going and I hear prices are very fair but I don't believe they have protective equipment, although I may be wrong

That seems like a good sale. Was the 8k used?? Either way, that's pretty good. And of course tape for $1. What kinda visor did you get?

I went as well. They really need to find a better place to hold it.

I grabbed a couple pairs of socks & a Warrior Dolo spyne.

Kings sale was ok. They had a ton of sticks, mostly lefty. Some used skates, XXXXs, 60s, ONE95s, and one pair of Ryan Smyth 9ks which were cool, but $200.

Gloves went super fast, but most were gross to begin with.

They have a LOT of black/silver/purple easton gloves for the Junior Kings which were $50 and new. Ugly though,

Some game used jerseys and a couple pairs of pants and shoulder pads.

The coolest thing was that the shop is closing down too, so they had 45% off skates (35% off X:60s). I was trying to justify a pair of the black X:60s that they had in my size, but I ended up not getting them. They also had one pair of brand onew ONE90s, which I was gonna get, but they still wanted too much for them for how old they are.

ya they did...they were oakley visors but they were not new...the 8k was used but no big scratches on it...just the inner padding was worn pretty well. ill probably sell the 9ks tho cuz i thought they would be alot better..i currently have x40s and my bauers seemd better in most aspects
