New Warrior gloves or Eagle's

Recommended Posts

Eagles. I tried both on in a Hockey Store (along with pretty much every glove) and the Eagles were more comfortable, seemed lighter (both very light) and the eagles, in my opinion, looked alot better. I ended up getting Eagle x72s and i couldn't be happier with them.

I own custom MIA's, and my stock Eagle X72's are a higher quality glove without a question. I will actually have my new custom Eagle X72's in another week.

You probably won't find another brand in the industry that holds more brand loyalty than Eagle....due to their quality, comfort, and as Chadd mentioned....they are great people to deal with and with unparalleled customer service.

How would you guy's compare the fit between the 2 brands? Are they loose/tight, etc? Thanks for all your replies.

Completely depends on which models you are comparing as each model has different fit characteristics.

What gloves are you currently wearing, or what type of fit are you looking for specifically?

I am currently wearing a TPS R8, last years model. I feel the palm bunches up too much and is too thick for my liking. I want a glove that is ultra light, very thin palm with lots of feel and NOT bulky. I looked at the warrior franchise and the MB 22. I have not looked at any Eagle gloves at all. Thanks

+1 for Patrick. PPF's are the way to go and would definatly be my next glove. I have a pair of MIA's and they are nice, I'm happy with em but I've tried on the ppf's and nothing out there compares. As far as customization goes, eagle might take a little longer but its worth it. There are more options with eagle. Now that warrior owns MIA, I don't think I would go that route again.

I hate to differ from the majority of people's opinion, but I have worn both, and warrior outperforms eagle. I think eagle is just too traditional and bulky. Warrior on the other hand is a lacrosse-based company and they are experienced in making very mobile gloves for lacrosse. they bring the mobility over to their hockey gloves, not to mention stye; warrior hands down

Warrior's hockey line is rebadged MIA gloves. MIA was created by two guys that left Eagle to start a company of knockoff Eagles.

What model Eagles do you have? There are many different fits and designs.

Another vote for Eagles. They make some really nice gloves and are among some of the lightest on the market.

I have the x71 XP's. They're a little bit older, but really wide. I also have a pair of really vintage X50i's. Here is a picture of them.

Rootski -

Warrior's custom glove is going to be a MIA. There is no lacrosse influence in their product.

I found my way back to Eagles. after going through many gloves the only thing that fit for me anywhere close was Morrison Easton 4 roll prostock nylon I got from the Caps sale last year. Eastons had no where near the features of the PPF

Another vote for the Eagles. I have worn them for the past 5 years and loved both pairs that I have. They are a great glove right away. Break in time for me was near nothing. Felt great right away. The other part that I love about them is that the palms that Eagle uses have been the best that I have ever had. Great feel for the stick and I still can't believe how long they last. I have used just about every glove possible, since I always find myself buying gloves. I've been through all the Pro Stock's (Easton, NBH, CCM), and I always go back and dig out my Eagles. The most comfortable and the best performance.
