How come in all the pictures I've seen of the new O-stick, it doesn't seem like the holes are actually there? In all the ones I've seen, I haven't been able to see through the stick, as in seeing what's on the other side. Is it just my eyes/the picture playing tricks on me?

Ice is white, and you can't see the holes when the stick is at more than a certain angle in any direction.

Yep, saw one of Bergeron's game used sticks at the Bruins pro shop and it was the new 8.0.8 and there are def. holes. It didn't seem as blade heavy as the 9k.

I talked to one of Reebok/CCM's regional guys yesterday and he was telling me they focused on the feel this year. I really couldn't stand the feel of the O-stick. It felt really boxy and blade heavy. I'm interested to see how the 8.0.8 feels.

They also had a few random 10ks and IMO they felt better then the 8.0.8, but the 8.0.8 felt pretty good too.

The boxiness was my favorite part. The dimples, the shitty blade, the dead feeling shaft (felt like my fiberglass shaft) and the balance were shit.

I'm contemplating trying out the shaft conversion someone posted here so it doesn't just sit on the wall forever.

what skates is Illya using? They look like a Supreme 70/One95 combo with yellow laces.

unless he has changed recently he is still in custom Nike/Bauer from a couple years back.. i doubt its the same pair, but his skates (correct me if I am wrong) were never something sold at retail
