Anyone know what's up with Spezza's helmet? It may be old but I just noticed it last night for the first time, it's a RBK but without the hokey looking inserts on the side, it was just solid/smooth and really nice looking, much better looking than the normal RBK one everyone wears. I tried finding a pic but the one on Getty ddin't show it too well.

Kovalchuk was sporting some new 3rd jersey color schemed gloves at practice today along with a new pair of Skates that look like vapor XXXX but im pretty sure they are still his same old skates he had for a while just with an up to date look

I noticed Warrior has a new stick out called the Bentley. The thing is a tank.. heavy as hell and pretty damn cheap at $70. im just curious but has warrior stop making the mac daddy or re branded it?

Mac Daddy got replaced by the Kronik didn't it? Bentley is Warrior's price point OPS, don't expect too much from price points. Get a good wood stick instead of a shitty OPS I always say.

correct me if i'm wrong, but the kronik was just a mac daddy shaft w/ spyne blade. in a way it had been modified, but it wasnt outright replaced either (in previous generations... too lazy to pull the catalog up)

ok I think it's more of an optical illusion than anything else. On the white helmets the cutout portion on the sides blends in really well and looks almost solid, that's what caught my eye and made me think it was actually solid and smooth on the side. Now that I combed over a ton of images trying to find an example I'm convined that McDouglas was correct the first time and my eyes were just playing tricks on me.

example of what I'm talking about:

the white blends in on the sides so I thought it was a different helmet... either way it looks pretty sharp in the white.

those are both 4Ks, although the white inserts do blend in with the white helmets. The 4Ks have little recessed parts where the inserts would be, kind of like a design to make it look like the high end buckets.

why is the 4k such a fantasy all of a sudden? its been out for quite sometime, and players have been wearing it. i thought if any group of guys would notice that it would be us, maybe its gaining popularity? i dunno i dont watch all the much hockey any more with my wonderful job

Anyone else notice a slightly different vapor being used? (or maybe my eyes are off. Looks like the top half is a dark grey as opposed to white.)

Now, are we allowed to show pictures of this X:60?

That stick looks like it has been rubbed with friction on top, giving it the appearance of being gray when it is actually just a Vapor XXXX.
