interpathway 9 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 Couldn't quite tell from the video, but was Bourgeois wearing a half shield or a full cage? Either way, despicable.
jpeaslee 30 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 Looked like a cage to me. Despicable either way, but even more so if it was without a cage. I can't believe the rest of the team didn't jump on him after that.
themooseisloose 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 This is not hockey. Enough said.
greech 4 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 I really have lost a lot of respect for Roy following these actions by his sons. I know it's not him, but you all must remember reading your Hamlet back in HS...
mgoblue 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 Surely the goalie saw what happened.I'd have torn his face from his skull, that prick. My bloods boiling just from watching that on tape.
kosydar 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 What do you expect from kids who grew up in a house where their dad beat their mom? Not excusing anything, but it isn't like they were learning how to control their tempers at home.
mgoblue 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 There's something to be said for that, certainly. But personal responsibility must come in somewhere as well.
tdjb 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 I REALLY hope that none of the teammates saw that and that's why they didn't go after Roy. If not, those guys should be ashamed of themselves for not helping out their teammate.
wingsfan7777 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 Stunning. I may have jumped off that bench if I had seen that. I wouldn't expect anything less from Patty WAHs son.
NoAngleDangler 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 I hope these 2 team play again soon and Roy gets whats coming to him.

mrusse01 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 He spits on him right after the dude goes down too.I don't know how you can tell that from the video (although wouldn't surprise me). Should be a lifetime ban from junior hockey, IMO.We've all seen guys get their hands up in the face of people, but that's a straight crosscheck to the face, get that moron out of hockey. phunky_monkey 6 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 What a disgrace...I too can't beleive he didn't get his head knocked in after that
Jason Harris 31 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 We all know hockey well enough to know young Mr. Roy will soon learn that there are many video cameras in the stands nowadays. First he'll be suspended, then he's going to have to go against an enforcer (or two) the next time the teams meet.
habookus 1 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 Reports are that he got a 15 game suspension.

Patrick67 1 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 I would be embarressed to play for a team that doesn't stick up for it's own. can't believe they just let him skate freely afterwards...

enforcer13 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2008 I'm confused as to why everyone just watched it happen, and let him skate away.
larrivee 3 Report post Posted November 26, 2008 There was the other scuffle going on. Maybe they didn't see exactly what happened, might have just looked like a bad shove if they were paying attention to the other fight.Roy was always my favorite tender, but watching his and his kids' antics the last couple years I no longer think so highly of him. It's just douchebaggery at its finest.
start_today 770 Report post Posted November 26, 2008 He spits on him right after the dude goes down too.I don't know how you can tell that from the video (although wouldn't surprise me). Watch the way Roy's head goes forward after the crosscheck, and the way his mouth moves. Maybe he's just calling him "bitch" or something clever, but it looks an awful lot like spitting.
