Anxiously awaiting the arrival of a Samsonov pro stock one95 from TSR, Thursday needs to get here already.

My 3rd one got here today. First one broke in the middle of the shaft after a few games, then I broke the second one after a few games cause I'm a deusch and smashed it on the bench. That was my one Ted Bundy moment and unfortunately I broke my shiney new One95. I atleast turned it in to a shaft to use. Hopefully I'll get more life out of this one.

What I'm finding surprising is I have less trouble keeping my shots down with the Samsonov than I do with the Naslund, even though the Samsonov is more open. Love the stick and the curve though. Wish it was retail so I wouldn't have to worry about finding more of them.

Hmm that is kind of good news for me, im going to try mine out this weekend. Im a little worried because i have trouble keeping Sakic below the cross bar so we'll see how its goes.

Edit: Actually just checked, I got it from Al's Pro Stock, not TSR haha. Wasn't paying attention. Al's had 8 available for $105 BIN price.

I have two more Samsonovs on the way. I bought one a couple months back as an "experiment" and have really gotten used to it. Can't go back to my P10's now. Blade is just too long.

Anyone know why there have been so many of these floating around? I can't remember seeing so many of one particular player's stick being available.

Trying to find a toe curve that is open at the heel, so that I can pull it in with the toe and shoot off the heel.

Anyone know of any patterns out there that resemble what I'm describing? Could you pass along a link, a picture, or even a pattern name?

If I can't find one, I'll most likely have some customs made up, but it'd be good to have either a clone or a picture that I can send in to the company that I have do the customs.

If I'm understanding your question right, you're after something like the Hogeboom. It's like a tamer version of the Lehoux. Hard to see in these pictures, but it's a slight heel curve with a distinct toe kink on it. Really awesome curve.

good job on the mods NYR, how well do those hold up?? does your reheating them compromise the durability?

picked up a couple from my LHS. It was a fluke that I decided to try the Smyth. My Vanek broke and they didn't have any left so I had to choose from the Smyth or the Kovalev..... I don't like heel /wedges so I decided to give the SMyth a shot. I remember I ridiculed the SMyth when I first saw it a few years back.. Never again! I loved it so much I picked up another one 2 days later. They still have ONE more left in case the second one i got breaks within the warranty period. If it does, hopefully no one will have snatched it up! Visually, the curve loooks ridiculous compared to the other retails out there, so many people don't give it a try!
